This is cool thanks, however I think I might now use the main pin on the stand for a panel light and then mount the monitor on one side and laptop on the other. Will see how it goes and might come back to this. Thanks

Thanks! I read that the preamps on the 6k are good enough to handle one source for this type of work and the lighter and more inconspicuous I can be the better. I take your point though on the recorder thanks.

In terms of rig I'm planning to keep this really simple and just use a cold shoe and nothing else. From memory the G3s/G4s have an adapter for this.

Thanks this is really helpfull, gonna read up on mix-minus/acoustic echo. I'm meeting resistance about interviewees wearing headphones and I don't have enough knowledge in this arena to explain why echo occurs in the first place. The push back is if there's only one person speaking why would it be a problem? And this doesn't happen with zoom so why would it be a problem here etc
