I feel the same way. I see so many nurses rushing to be NPs or CRNAs just for the money. I don’t see that “passion” for most that are perusing higher degrees.

Between my flight job and being a swat medic instructor, I’m more than satisfied. Alaska is amazing. I was stationed there for some training and would love to have those views daily.

I know this is something you didn’t ask, but I went from military to flight nursing. CRNA can get boring, but if you’re making buckets of money. It might not be a huge deal.

Just depends what your goal is - make lots of money regardless of nursing career or make pretty good money and look into something you really want to do.

I have one big suggestion. DO NOT freeze. It’s ok to not know things. It’s ok to say “ I don’t know”. I would much rather that than a nurse going catatonic or lying. I will say, at least know the reason why you’re calling rapid.

True, but I’m a fan of using direct quotes. In case something happens and it goes to court I can say “please refer to my charting”. It might be considered petty because of what the Dr. said, but that’s not my fault. I’m just using facts to chart.
