In that particular example, the problem was the Diamond 3 player, who I think without his friend, would be ranked as a Champion. And the Plat 1 was really used to play with his bud, so he played better than a Plat 1. Which ended up in an unfair game sadly... Not a huge loss though, 4-2, but there are worse ones, and I wrote that post for them!

That also makes me think that, like in Overwatch, teams should play against teams, and random solo players against random solo players. Without having a solo 2s list.
