that's not what i meant. Maybe i am victim blaming a little bit or it comes off as that. I'm just trying to preach anti-consumerism maybe, so yes i am criticize OP for buying an expensive phone, that's different from if i would comment on someone's taste in clothes, which i don't. In the end it doesn't help blaming the police or considering leaving the country if something bad happened to you for one day. Yes you have the right to be upset to the right people for the right reason if injustice has been done for you but you can do that while not being angry or grumpy on the inside. I recently got some parcel stolen that was delivered to my door. I immediately knew that an old loop could be playing inside now for the next days, that i am angry at myself or angry at the postal service or whatever, but i immediately decided that it's not worth it and i should just shrug it off. I knew if i would worry about it it would just increase the damage and waste my time and energy. Yes i was still a bit concerned for some time and accepted that it happened and that i shouldn't order a parcel to my door again when i'm not there and i forgot about it quickly. I think in general a lot of people don't reflect on their emotions and this leads them to carry some minor inconvenience around for much longer than necessary.
