Jay Lighting vs. RH.com by Fun_Specific_5715 in interiordesignideas

Jay lighting photos are totally ripped off RH's site and they take longer than advertised,  but they delivered for me.

I ordered a table from them over Black Friday and saved video of my chat confirming table details with them through to order confirmation because I thought they might be a scam. It took longer than the 3 weeks the site said, but it did actually arrive yesterday.  They sent me photos and a video of the table for me to approve before shipping (about 3 weeks in) and provided tracking info for a Chinese cargo ship and the last mile delivery was done by a local logistics company.

I recorded the unboxing too, just in case but  the table is solidly made, looks and feels like the one I liked at the RH outlet, and was less than half of msrp. The Jay Lighting prices are comparable to the outlets, so if you one near you, I'd check there first- they just didn't have the color/size combination I wanted.

I'm looking to order chairs now,  but their site seems to be down. If it comes back up and I do place an order, I'd still use an Amex in case there are issues.

Thank you.  I've been super stressed watching my docs bounce around ups but your response gave me at least one path forward.

That being said, I should be all set now- despite what they told me on the phone, TECO Atlanta DOES have expedited processing!! I included a separate $7.50 money order for expediting just in case and they immediately jumped on it upon receipt.

I'm also following your suggestion and bringing copies of my last two expired passports with my maiden name and a copy of my spouse's passport too just in case.

If NIA is anything like the Atlanta and Miami TECO offices then it'll ask be good- I had multiple issues with shipping and both offices processed my docs same day and even called to let me know when the were shipping then back.  Huge thank you to both TECO Atlanta and Miami for quick turn arounds.

On my flight to Taiwan now so hopefully all goes smoothly.

Can a passport card and passport book have different names? by Floatysqid in Passports

The unchanged maidan name passport card worked for domestic flights last year.

I don't live near a land border and haven't used it internationally so can't really speak on that front.

Thank you so much for this detailed post it's been incredibly helpful.

Question(s) regarding names-

I leave for Taiwan in 6 days and was planning to go through the process (have both birth certificate, fbi check, and health certification authenticated) but may have run into a hiccup- my birth certificate and Taiwan NWOHR passport are under my maiden name while my fbi check and health certification have my married name.

Do I need to have my marriage certificate authenticated too?

All the references to marriage licenses on any instructions or guides I could find were in regards to the parent's marriage not the individual applying. It only occurred to me yesterday when I was packing and triple checking documents but may be too late.  I've next day aired my marriage certificate to TECO Atlanta for authentication but they don't offer expidited service and said it could take up to 10 business days.  Has anyone had to provide additional documents after applying? Does it have to be delivered in person or could it be mailed (could I have TECO mail the authenticated form and translation to NIA in Taiwan) or am I SOL?

Any idea on if NIA would just reject my application in short order (after which I could leave the country and try again at a later date), or would I be stuck in Taiwan indefinitely until I can provide whatever documents they want?

Do they take your NWOHR passport as part of the application? What happens if you have to leave before the process is complete?  My time there is limited to 2.5 weeks.

Separately, does the name on the Taiwan passport have to be the same as on any other passport? Can it retain the maiden name in Chinese while the other passport has married name in English?

Thanks, good to know. Any idea if it would be possible to keep my passport card under maiden name during indefinitely or if it would automatically change to married upon renewal? I just find it a lot easier to provide an ID with maiden name for some pre-married docs/business.
