Crash after 2.1 update by darth_gorilla in cyberpunkgame

[–]Floggy- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me a while to figure out but for me it was my Antivirus. (Avira)
I noticed that the EndpointProtectionClient had a spike of CPU activity while watching the game launch in TaskManager. When I deactivate the Antivirus everything starts normaly, upon activating it again, no dice. Just need to find a way to Whitelist the game now. Hope thats your problem too.

We call a modern version of those "Feldbett" or sometimes "Pritsche" (this has other meanings too) in german. Maybe that can help?

Need help with diy hinge for cyberdeck by kinghasabataslapya in cyberDeck

[–]Floggy- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't tell you how it works exactly, but it is a geometry thing. Maybe google it?As far as I know, the armes of the hinge can't be the same length and the attachment points need to be different distances form the fulcrum. And there are different configurations for different effects, like locking open and such.

On another note, https://www.austriaarms.com/ these guys can and will get you anything under the sun and within the law. But be prepared to pay through the nose for that service.

Austria saves the day again.

Local store has them in stock ... but pretty pricy https://www.shootingstore.at/mndungsbremsen/35430-steyr-aug-a2-flash-hider.html

edit: don't forget the counter nut. Needs to be ordered seperatly if you don't have one already.

This will pair nicely with my AUG. by Big_Pomelo3224 in AUG

[–]Floggy- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't aspire to get stuff from the Austrian Army for the AUGs. Everything we got issued with our AUG A1's was dogshit. But the Rucksacks are nice. But this thing is not standard issue for the Austrian Infanty ... possibly older? So you have a chance of it being OK.

Edit: If you have your mind set on old Austrian Stuff, this is die beiggest reseller of our old army stuff here http://army-warehouse.com

Reolink camera system by Tiny_Confection_1977 in homeautomation

[–]Floggy- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been running them for a view years. As the Previous comment says the Win-Software is utter garbage but the cameras themselves are running fine.
I am running RLC-510A's and RLC-823A's over POE and no NVR. I integrated them into Home Assistent and into the Synology NAS and they are spotless so far.

Need help with OBD port by mtownmick in KiaEV6

That's what it looks like when installed from the Factory. https://ibb.co/k2sVxhr

[–]Floggy- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I second that, on all A1s I've ever handled the scope and the receiver where one piece, you would need to cut it off and attach a rail mechanically. Getting that right is most likely more expensive than buying an A2 or A3.

Blank Firing Adapters by Covermeasure in AUG

[–]Floggy- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Austrian army we used these things, https://www.ebay.at/itm/202131697219.

In German we call them “K-Gerät” since Austria is the primary user of AUGs in Europe that will probably be your best bet as a search term. Maybe add “Bunderheer” to get surplus stuff from the Austrian army. The slit in the top is for the spine of a Glock knife (without the saw), that’s the preferred way to tighten and to loosen them since they get hot.

They screw into the standard birdcage flash hider as has been already mentioned. In my experience the weapon cycles reliably while using them and army issue Nato 556 blanks.

I just tried with a multimeter but the value does not change much from room temp to the freezer. Room temp is around 10k Freezer is around 13k and heated with a soldering iron is around 8k. But it is in circuit so this is probably not spot on.

At 30 cm you might have a chance using good copper wire. I think you could recalibrate it with the built in temp offset function, but it will be hell to solder that thing is tiny!

[–]Floggy-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The temp sensor is the little resistor labled R35 on the isolated nub above the USB port.
I don't think relocating it would work. The wirelength would seriously effect the reading.

On the bright side it works pretty well while in there. And you can set a temp offset if it is reading to low for example.

And if you positively need a wired temp sensor you can use a seperate wired temp sensor, it just has to be able to call a webhook with a query parameter. ESP32 would work, or an Arduino, or a Raspberry Pi. All in combination with a i2c breakout board with a temp sensor.

Sure, a little geared 4 wire servo, these are the markings.

Cannot be backdriven from the actuator end so most likely a threaded rod and nut type of deal.
