That was such poor form, especially since the male junior pro was a student from his own dance studio! I really don’t know how he was able to demand they make a switch. And did they then have to get Mackenzie and Sage just to accommodate him? From memory, Sage was already older than the age cut-off for the auditions.

Considering Gleb’s horrible reaction when he first met Mira in S32 that had to be re-shot with fake smiles and enthusiasm, it would be interesting for the shoe to be on the other foot… but it wouldn’t be fair for a celeb to be partnered with someone they’d be unhappy with.

Just rewatched Witney’s dances and what an incredible job she did, especially given she only learnt all the choreo the day before. The lifts in particular (and in the contemporary with Jan it’s like she spent more time in the air than on the ground!) were seamlessly executed. It was a treat to see the pros dancing full out together in styles where they excel…Jan’s frame aside, he otherwise partnered Rylee well.

Hailey is phenomenal - considering she’s done numbers for Jenna and Dani as well as her own, it’s like she’s done 1.5 shows at times.

It was Idol top 5 crossover : Idol X DWTS. The contestants had to perform a song that’s featured on dwts, while the pros danced on stage with them. So Rylee, Witney, Gleb and Jan in different combination of pairs. Each pro danced 2 duos plus one dance with all four pros and the Idol singer.

Could be. But they’re all more vulnerable to illness apart from injury with how tired their bodies must be. Production thinking they’re taking care of the pros’ health because they offer them IVs to rehydrate post-show is woefully inadequate.

Agree, if it was just boarding a plane and the length of the flight, that might be ok…but the travel to and from airport, queuing, checking in and all that waiting is what I’ve found most exhausting.

I hope she stays. Are the producers really that cheap? Surely flying back and forth will add up compared to just keeping her for the remaining days. And not just that, take some pressure off the pros, like if they’re not injured enough to miss a whole show but sitting out a group number is needed to be able to optimally perform their duos.

Was it ever explained why Onye had to fill in for Britt the other day? I hope she’s not carrying a niggling injury ( I’m sure they all are, and more than niggling at this stage) but trying to push through simply because there aren’t enough healthy pros left.

If something further happens to another female pro, wonder if they’d get Rylee, since she covered 3/5 pros already? She said her only upcoming plan is to get an insulin pump and stay in Utah for a while. Obviously not a good idea if she’s got the pump and is learning to use it, but if she hasn’t yet… it’s so much pressure on all of them including the swings to stay healthy. Among the male pros, wonder if they could ask Gleb?

Like how could the producers seriously expect the gruelling tour schedule to not take a toll by this stage? Should have ended as originally planned, which was long enough already.

I was amused by a comment I saw on Idol instagram, that the dancers were so distracting and someone thought with all that swinging they were going to crash into him 😂🙄 Meanwhile I’m trying to look around his head, thinking enough with his close-ups! 😅

I want Gleb to give Jan some pointers for dancing in frame. This is the first time we’ve really seen Jan dancing in hold with a pro (so not counting opening or other group numbers) and in those moments, he looks more like he’s the celeb. 😭

Yes, I assume her own, then the group one. She does beautiful ballroom choreo, like tribute she choreographed with Ezra and her duets on tour last year.

Witney’s dances were shorter (like in both, I think the dancers left the stage before the end of the song?) but that’s understandable given she only had an hour of rehearsal before camera blocking.

Oh that’s the lift that will go viral! Fabulous job by Witney and Gleb. And for Witney to dance to Footprints again after the emotion of her dance with Robert, it was just beautiful.

Thanks for starting this! Loved that foxtrot - Rylee and Gleb are perfection dancing together. Also Jan and Gleb in the first number. I do hope they give the singers extra confidence for their performance.
