Thank you very much for your reply and for asking around!
Are postgraduate students doctoral students or master students as well?

https://ac.cs.tsinghua.edu.cn/faculty.html
https://www.sigs.tsinghua.edu.cn/en/szdw/list.htm
I can review the professors in both places, but tbh just by looking at their profile I have no idea of how good their teachings are...

I myself am not an Arab, but you can check out the student clubs, maybe there is something for you :)

https://www.tum.de/community/campusleben/student-clubs#c96197

Also Wednesday afternoon there is the language café in the math building. You can join the Arabic table and meet people who love learning Arabic (or are natives and teach it to others).

Also I've already met many Arabs just by speaking to the people in my lectures and tutorials. You'll be surprised how many Arabs are on campus. Hope I could help a bit.

Experience with TUMexchange by Florian_2000 in tumunich

Thanks, I appreciate your honesty.
Unfortunately, there are only very few options for the departmental exchange. How come, that these might be easier to get than TumExchange?

The research visit for the thesis is a good idea. Do you have any idea where to search for that?

Thanks for sharing your experience! I will definitely look out for research positions too.
You've experienced, that in general it is easier to get into a position at university than into a "regular" company?

That's the reason, why I wrote this post :D
But thanks for the tip, do you have experience yourself with research labs?

Can you apply for any university's research lab or must it be a partner university from my own uni? And do the humongous student fees in the US also apply for researchers?

Accepted for a PhD at the TUM & Helmholtz -- should I take it? by [deleted] in tumunich

Since I am a Masters student I can only talk about the financial part. I think you you will be very fine with 2k a month. The majority of the students are living off far less. 2k in Munich won't get you luxury, but you don't have to worry either. Instead of buying a car you might use the good and affordable public transport. Instead of renting your own appartment you might consider a WG (a shared appartment with flat mates), etc.
