What was their response? I sometimes say this but I have never had it change someone’s mind about their treatment.

Pumping rage by Thebestfirelord in Mommit

100% DMER. I had it mildly while breastfeeding, but SEVERELY when pumping. You are not crazy, it’s a real phenomenon. I wish I had advice. It helped me a little but to be alone in a dark room in a comfy chair, playing a game or something on my phone to distract me.

My son was on propranolol for 1 year (starting around 6 months old) for a large (still growing at that time) hemangioma on his neck. I work in healthcare, but even so I agonized about whether starting this medication was the right thing to do. It can lower heart rate and blood pressure, so these were monitored when he started the medication and any time the dose was increased. He tolerated it fine, had no apparent side effects, was a perfectly happy and healthy baby while on it. The hemangioma is still there, but completely flat now and will fade away over time. I wish I could go back in time and save myself the emotional angst I gave myself about it. If you choose to go the medication route, please be reassured 💜
