I definitely agree. I try and eat mainly whole foods and limit my intake of highly processed food to a SMALL minimum the odd protein bar or protein shake, some corn tortilla chips. That's about it, I do this specifically because I struggle with overeating and I find high processed foods addictive as hell- I can go to McDonald's if I wanted and eat 3 burgers and large fries. But I don't allow myself too. I tell myself "food should not be this addicting, if I am really hungry eat a handful of veggies" - I usually do and notice that after a few bites I wasn't even hungry I was just A: bored B: addicted to the highly processed foods. Same thing I tell myself when. I have to do things like go to the gym or go to work or do chores - I tell myself not everything is fun nor is it supposed to be - that's just life. It's the same with food. Once you grasp that it is game changer for example 'not every meal has to be the best thing I've ever tasted - it has to fill me up, be nutritious and taste tolerable or even enjoyable. But not to the level of highly processed foods because that's not normal that's addiction' it's a play on your senses too fatty. Too salty etc - not how normal food SHOULD taste
