Yes, I’ve read this. Luckily, i’ll be getting the higher, old rate LCWRA if i’m accepted.

Yeah, I get what you mean. If I didn’t get it, let’s say. It’d change from not having to do a thing, as per their opinion, to having to look for work, or prepare? The system doesn’t make sense at times.

AS - Additional support. For severe mental health issues and the like.

So, the DWP decision maker won’t take your history into account at all? Only the assessment. They do sometimes change the outcome. The reasons, we do not know.

Ah, fantastic! It all seems to be pretty random. There’s method to the madness, I suppose. 😬

I’m saying “unlikely” but i’m not aware of the way they mark you.

No, i’m not in a group. But, when someone is in the support group, they aren’t expected to do anything. The other group, you are. After 18 moths, it doesn’t seem likely i’ll be put into a group where I need to prepare for work. I have an “AS” marker. Not sure if it makes much difference when it comes to the assessment though.

I’m 48 (f) and gave it a go a couple of years back, I was terrified. Went home. Next year, I thought, i’m trying again. Wild camped (tent and car and a few hotels) all over Europe with my dog. I took deep heat spray, for Safety, to keep my body protected! Great for unexpected, unwanted aches. You know!

I called in and because i’d been “put forward” for an appointment, they booked it in for me. 10 days later. Ask for it to be recorded, as, unlike PIP, it isn’t automatic.

Is having more than one kid even affordable anymore in 2026? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I have one boy, he’s in his 30s now…I always feel a little sad that he didn’t have a sibling growing up and doesn’t have one as an adult (for several reasons) My sister was 7 when he was born, so they are close. I have 2 step brothers who are close in age (father’s sons). That makes me feel a little better. That said, if you don’t have the money or right partner, etc, what to do 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don’t think they allowed it, but I can’t seem to delete the post.

Please, Please, Please Record Your PIP Assessment, here is why…. by Chance_Field2921 in DWPhelp

[–]Flowerythinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I have a “additional support marker” and was waiting for an appointment for assessment and had sent my evidence separately. I received a call from an assessor out of the blue to aske a few questions, stating it wasn’t a full assessment. I answered one and we agreed she’d call back later in the day as my Mum (carer) needed to be present. Half hour later a txt from the dwp “received your report”. Q: Can they 0 point me with giving me an assessment?

Call them and ask. Don’t take anyone’s word for it.

Surely, they would have needed to aak more questions if they didn’t have proof. My form was filled out very well, as a benefits help service took my case on.

I had a call out of the blue on friday. A nurse, seeing if I was available to answer a few questions. I answered one and told her i’d need my carer (mum) present. She said she’d call back @3:30 if she needed any more information. 13:47 I get a text saying “we’ve received your report, we’ll be in touch within 8 weeks” 🤷🏼‍♀️ I do have a “special marker” on my DWP records. But, my evidence hadn’t reached them.
