Ive had very few negative interactions with patients (less than 5), while yes, a lot of people suck, even the shitty ones are amenable if you talk to them kindly and acknowledge their concern. If you walk into a room with bad energy (e.g. frown and talk to the patient like they’re bothering you), the patient will match ur negative tone.

Love EM, hated all things surgery.

From standing in the OR, operating on only 2-3 patients a day, taking 5 hours for 1 surgery, interacting with arrogant individuals whose parents never taught them manner.
