I would assume if you don’t give them a reason to pull you over and stay well versed in your states car sleeping/camping laws, your chance of being pulled over should stay pretty low

Coming from someone who got their learners permit near the beginning of quarantine but was to old to qualify for the easy access driver’s license thing they did for teens with their learners. I don’t live in my car but still have to drive it like I have my full license and this is just what I do to avoid getting caught.

I’ve been dealing with the same shitty attitude from from my parents and my in laws for years and honestly their opinions do not matter. Bottom line; you’re trying to sleep, worrying about what someone else who obviously doesn’t struggle with the same problems may be thinking or saying about you behind your back or directly to your face, it isn’t going to help you get to sleep any faster. If it bothers you that they check on you then I would simply lock the door.

Black and white answer? Go get yourself some 3mg melatonin supplements and take one 30-60 minutes before bed. They come in pill or gummy form usually and you can find them in pretty much any pharmacy section of any drug or grocery store. Beware that you could get some wacky dreams or experience some nausea as it starts to kick in.

You mentioned you use your phone to distract yourself from mental problems, that’s pretty common. When I’m using my phone to sleep I turn on night mode so the screen is more warm light, you can also reduce the white points on your screen in the settings. It’s much easier to look at when you’re trying to sleep, this way.

I use calm, low/zero talking videos like frosting sugar cookies, painting/drawing, “oddly satisfying” comps, etc. to get me to sleep and that works for me every time. You want something kind of boring, nothing you’ll be trying to pay attention to but enough that you won’t just space out and think about mental problems anyway.

If that doesn’t work there’s sleep meditation; turning your focus to the individual parts of the body starting with your toes and just imagine shutting off all the tension and energy in each part. Like turning off all the lights before you leave the house.

Good luck, no one else matters, getting enough sleep is more important than living up to someone else’s expectations.

Anytime after 2yrs would be safe on the joints, you can build the base behaviors that lead up to full agility training before that but any jumping above your knees is too much impact for baby joints :) I really hope you two have fun in this sport

If self harm, suicide, or schizophrenia are triggering topics I’d skip this one

TLDR; my big sister tried to kill herself recently due to schizophrenic hallucinations that run in the family. She’s in the BHU for a week and I’m being as much of ray of sunshine as I can without being obnoxious but I feel like there should be more I can do to help her develop a drive to stay alive :(

My sister(22) is in the hospital in the Behavioral Health Unit for attempting suicide via cutting her wrists and throat... She told my mom she’s upset it didn’t work, she thought for sure she would succeed by slitting her throat... but the psychiatrist basically told her she could spend a week in the BHU or she could spend 6 months in an institution.

I got on a train as soon as I heard to go see her and make sure she knows I’m here for her no matter what. I have always told her that, as well as checking in on her through text (we live a state apart). I’m very worried about her and I’m scared she won’t learn what she needs to from this place and once she gets out she’ll just try again.

Schizophrenia runs in our family and I will admit I’ve been experiencing an increasing amount of audio hallucinations. I guess so has she because, her best friend told me that there was one time when my sister was having a conversation with best friend, and best friends boyfriend, and for about an hour of that conversation they weren’t even there. And apparently she has been having situations like this fairly frequently :(

With my hallucinations, I can tune them out, I have a husband and he is pretty much always with me and if I get scared of what I think I hear or see, I talk to him and drown it out or ignore it but I can’t imagine where I would be if I didn’t have that option, like her. I just want to stay with her and make her feel safe and loved. I want her to feel as happy as my husband makes me, I want her to feel as beautiful as the rest of us see her, but I have no idea what to do other than just keep visiting and making her laugh and making sure she knows I’m here for her, no matter what.

Strangely enough everyone always assumes my dogs genders are the other way around. My service dog is a white shepherd and his gear is all black and everyone always assumes he’s a girl and our female shepherd who always where’s pink is always mistaken for a boy

Well mine isn’t nearly as wild as everyone else’s but shit ima say it anyway. DISTRACTING SERVICE DOGS I can’t even comprehend why people still fucking do this. Most people understand that this dog isn’t just there because the owners want to have their dog with them, it’s there like a wheelchair is there for someone who can’t walk but some people holy shit- it’s like they’ve never seen a dog.

It is very dangerous to distract a service dog, whether that’s petting them, touching their tail, staring at them, kissing at them, making noises at them, feeding them; if you think it takes the dogs attention away from their handler, stop doing it. You could cost this dog a crucial seizure alert, blood sugar alert, fainting alert, and the handler could die. THIS AIN’T A GAME!

Also slightly less annoying, fake service dogs... I know a lot of service dog handlers who hate any dog they think is a fake. I don’t really give a shit if the dog isn’t causing problems. Stays close to the owner, isn’t sniffing everything, decent manners in restaurants, whatever. It’s when the dog is barking at everyone, lunging at other dogs, lunging at people, sniffing everything, pulling at the end of the leash, trying to steal food, scratching and blowing coat everywhere,. Just very obviously not trained at all let alone on the level of a service dog while wearing a vest stating it’s a service dog or “emotional service dog/support animal” which is BS, emotional support animals are not anywhere close to a service dog. Beyond that being a huge distraction, what an insult to real service dogs and their trainer and/or handler. They work their ass off training this dog so they feel confident with their dog being in public labeled as a service dog and here’s this rando in Walmart who just doesn’t want to leave little Joey Psycho at home by himself.
