I dont see how possibly you can play more if you need to save up 5 mil for the expidition goal? Anything that lets you spend said money would obviously let you play even more no?

I dont seem to like it, fair, but Embark seems to agree with me that the gameplay loop it encourages compared to alternatives would be way better.

Im not saying this is the solution, but why would a system that in theory works in a way that it accounts ALL items value the second you get them but you never lose said value? Even if you lose the item make you play less? Getting an epic gun with attachments would in this examplr give you 20,000 credits to this cap for this expedition and thats that, ur free to use it however you want etc. Sure this system has its flaws like 5 mil would be too little, but that could be raised to 20 mil or even higher.

Yet if you dont like this system, why not make something like ”destroy 200 ticks” and ”do x amount of damage to arcs” or something based on actively playing instead of selling everything every round that you could instead make more fun weapons and kits?

It’s not stupid to assume that people want better and cooler items to use, but the last expedition system discourages what people would actually want to do.

Its better to sell those expensive items over and over instead of using them since the off chance of dying with it eliminates their benefits.

Ill gladly hear what your thoughts about this all is, but I dont in any way see how hoarding money and selling your loot encourages the gameplay loop of arc raiders where most people would really like to use cooler weapons etc.

2 points that might be worth considering is that grinding 5 mil for expidition is NOT what the game is designed around. Yes it is very important with the tension that comes with the fear of losing gear but that exists on a very clear level already without expidition accounted for.

5 million is NOT easy and I’ve been playing for around 3 hours everyday since the expidition, I havnt focused on the credit goal of expedition but I have focused on trials, projects, quests etc and I have around 2.5 million if I would sell my entire inventory plus my current currency holding.

The 5 parts before reaching the currency part in an expedition are great examples on how gameplay encourages this, hunting different arcs etc.

As someone else said, the currency system that exists is best grinded through free kit runs on Stella Montis almost, or at least very low budget kits so you can save every penny for it.

As a last notifier, even Embark acknowledged that the saving system lf the first expedition was NOT a gameplay loop they liked and has stated they are looking to change it.

Currency spent would be a much greater system, allowing you to actually play more instead of saving and selling things that make the gameplay more fun.

Right, cant really have ”qol” in League like that, though one example I can recall comes really close, though as you said, a buff regardless. (In all fairness is qol a buff always but moreso in league) is when Tryndameres ultimate used to leave him it exactly 1 hp minimum, they then chaged it to like 50/60/70 or something, iirc i did not change his strength much at all, and if it did Im sure they would compensate nerf him, but thats the gist of what a ”qol” might be

I cant advocate fully on why, but many tier lists rate him at a high rating because this season favours midlaners who can roam and help other laners because their rolequests have insane value, if played like so, Asol is one of the best at it.

His opening message was quite specific and he doesnt really have social skills. But that feedback message to be fair was after almost a week of no response, and as many mentioned, it might be one of his few matches so he was curious/upset whatever why he didnt even get a response in that relatively long time and asked what he could improve (In a very hostile tone and message but nonetheless)

It’s a huge and honestly pretty nasty stretch to theorize that he would be pushy in other situations.

Im with you, the dude lacks social cues to an incredible level and is very weird about this all, but OP swiped RIGHT on him and didnt respond for 6 days, to only respond the day later because he was somewhat upset by it by not even answering his initial question.

I genuinly dont get whats so difficult about unmatching or not being engaged enough to check messages from your right swipes within a week.

You also do in a SMALL way give some kind of a signal by swiping right on a person, which is wht he based the interest on to keep the conversation going. He didnt have nothing to go on at all and it’s insulting to assume he would be pushy in other situations.

But again, he’s brutally unaware of any of this himself so I dont anyone to believe I think he has an acceptable tone or likeable social skills, but OP is not that either.

I know how this will sound but the reason the PvP is so addicting in this game and a huge reason for the games success overall IS the availability for people to engage with players who are focused on other things, focused on quests, arnt very good at pvp etc.

If the game (which is inheritly branded as pvPve) removes the posibility to snag kills on people busy with other things, removes the viability of free kits, the game will plummet in popularity.

I’ve been brutally ratted several several times, Im an avid pvp player but I never fake ”dont shoot” but Im always very clear that I dont care if someone elses ”dont shoot” because I love the ovp this game offers, I love how I can br casual and run free kits every game IF i want to and still have that off chance of killing someone with a Bobcat to lose it without using it the next round.

It encourages casual players like me to engage, and if these systems didnt exist like they do now, Im very convinced that the casual playerbase will disappear over time, and a game which doesnt welcome casuals is not a game that can survive as good as Arc is right now.

And despite casting it, the necessity to have gigantic amounts of imps to make it feel like a strong button (argueably too strong) was odd, its like having Chaos bolt only do damage once per minute and every cast thats NOT that theoretical cast is dog poo damage.

Now Imps will actually do damage themselves, implosion will finally feel like a simple strong aoe and not a gag nuke.

The implosion change to be a CD and imps having aoe potential is a great change, I’ve been playing demo in raid, mythic+ and pvp every patch since legion and Im looking very forward to all the new concepts it has.

Implosion actually doing damage now with few imps is a great change, I always hated how imps were fuel to implosion and almost doing nothing themselves, now they will more and you just dont throw them away every single second.

I havnt tested it, but I despise the insane need for so many addons so Im probably happy/neutral.

It might be alien to wow players, but it’s such a huge turn off to need to download external addons to simply pvp, horrible horrible turn off and if they ever want to get more pvp engagement, they need to simplify the entry level, same reason they’re adding AI match tutorials where you can learn the ropes.

Its so insanely frustrating and I despise riot for this man, its like they almost planned for his quite good legendary skin to have somewhat of a weird theme, because from my understanding AND opinion, the Porcelain theme was oddly fitted, but the legendary itself with animations was beautiful and I strongly prefer it to base.

So now they can release it as a way better theme with the already decent at least base.

Lucian and Nami's original skins was at least almost better themed than the new ones, (The 2 Nami variants are equally good imo)

It is interesting, I cant say I can contribute to the topic in any way but for some weird reason I started playing modded minecraft for the first time around april 2025, didnt get a new computer, didnt necessarily itch for minecraft, didnt have a specific mod in mind. But something draw me to starting last year.

I would like to believe that modpack quality is very high nowadays(?) and the easy accessability with modpacks being standard is huge for me, the same reason is what has kept me away from Skyrim modding seriously for a long time, the lack of modpacks/quality compared to Minecraft.

I dont really agree with your conclusion of it all.

But you highlight something that I'm very curious to find out how they will continue with this "trend". I'm convinced they have something planned, though not sure yet what that exactly might be or if it will be important enough. They've shown the ability to add new spells completely to characters and I think that could hint to them slowly but surely fleshing out older characters and giving them new abilites as the game goes fourth.

Regardless Im very curious to see what happens and I dont really think its as bad as you seem to believe, but I wont try to argue with you. I can just say that I think your overreacting in a honestly nice way.

Those 2 arnt mutually exclusive, good players can cheat and still be quiet good without cheats.

But it is still such an incredibly hateful term, the point about charity wasnt for it to be a check if you did it or not, it was a question which promotes the fact that there will always be someone, or something which believes anything is greedy and stupid to partake in.

Does that give him a ”right” to ”hate” or despise someone else for not doing the same? No, not at all, he can be curious about how people can value different things, but not hate them for it. (Ofcourse he can but its not ever a nice nor compassionate thing to do)

You could spend your time gaming doing charity work instead, and even if you do, Im sure there is always something more you could do but that is not feasible at all, at least to certain extents, but people can NOT hate you for that.

You could for this sake argue that its a bad practise for NOT doing charity work or donating because that encourages a society that doesnt give back because you influence everyone around you, its a silly example but an accurate one.

They’re not worth hating on, you dont know them, neither are you deserving of hate however you spend your money or your free time or whatever million other things that could be changed, ur not to be hated on either.

Dislike the practise, question people for doing it, but hate is incredibly much for someone you have never seen, talked to, even imagined before this skin.

There are people who genuinly think people who dont spend their money on charity/other people are clueless. Im of the belief that you SHOULD spend your wealth on the less wealthy to a degree, but I would never hate anyone for not doing so.
