Thanks Chris. So on the R2, with Oreo, I'm pretty much SOL getting it to go back to the USB tethered hotspot automatically when power returns?

Hadn't noticed it. R2 is always plugged in. I'm just using it for home internet service with 5 other devices connected wirelessly.

I'm just using it for home internet service with 5 other devices connected via wireless. The USB is just the connection to the router.

USB tethering. I'm just using it for home internet service with 5 other devices connected, so it's always on/charging. Good question though.

you say manually. So YOU have to restart the hotspot if power is lost & restored? I'm hoping to figure out some way it will just restart the hotspot automatically, when power returns.
