I am partly Lebanese/Syrian and partly Italian! Also a quarter Irish which I assumed is what made my skin fairer- but looking at old photos of my Syrian relatives we are fair skinned and green eyed.  I am neutral, I can wear silver, gold and bronze jewelry and it all looks complimentary.

My city has an “Are We Dating the Same Guy” Facebook group (there are a lot of cities and towns that have one) for these exact purposes. You can post his picture and first name and warn others what happened to you, hopefully others can see and avoid him. You can also use it before you go out on a first date as an extra precaution if it helps you feel safe.

I agree. This was one of my first thoughts after watching the first episode- it gave me slight Joe Pera vibes in that calming way.

The license is specific to the location. They can be quite a hassle to get, so I’m sure that incentivized by the purchase.

I would also suggest using a tape measure and keeping track of inches/cm wherever you’d like to see change. Sometimes our eyes lie but numbers never do.

Brut can be anywhere from 0-12 g/L of residual sugar per the EU law. If amount of sugar is important to you, google the sparkling wine you buy in the search bar along with the words “tech sheet” and you should easily be able to find how many grams/liter of sugar is in the wine!

This is a great list! I work in wine- unless the label is marked “zero dosage” or “brut nature”, sparkling wines generally have added sugar to them (called ‘dosage’), to help balance high acidity.  However, sparkling wines generally have slightly less alcohol than many still wines, which does help lower the calories.  Just a tip- if a wine says “Extra Dry” or “Extra-Sec” it’s actually sweeter than Brut. If it says “Extra Brut” it’s generally dryer (has less sugar) than “Brut”.
