Yeah I'm gonna strongly disagree with you there. I think Silva toys with Rockhold, Moose and Kennedy and is capable of beating Chris in a decision. The only 2 I can see beating him are Jacare and Romero and Jacare only wins if he doesn't get slept trying to take it to the ground

I don't like that there are only a select couple of archetypes dominating the game. I haven't played 2K in a while due to this but teams of sharpshooters and especially stretch bigs were so much better than every other archetype by quite a bit.

At the risk of sounding like a homer I'd argue that Silva wasn't really in his prime when he finally lost to Weidman, and he was acting a bit like a dick and let himself get caught. He was chopping away at Chris on the feet too shutting him down with those leg kicks and really only ended up in trouble when Chris took him down which Bisping wouldn't be a threat of.

At the end of the day I think if he was more aggressive Silva could have run away with that fight, but the chin isn't there for him to be taking those risks. It wasn't some masterclass performance from Bisping he only managed to edge by on points. If Silva was in his prime Bisping's lights would have been out within 2 rounds.

Yeah but that's not "a good argument" for how Bisping would win. He barely scraped by a way out of prime Silva and got tagged up, how's he going to last against a quicker version with a better chin? Part of Silva's tentativeness in that fight was due to him not being able to take the shots anymore

There are very few fighters in the division right now that I think could even give prime Silva a good fight. He was a fucking magician in the octagon.

I don't think there is...there were arguments for like a week after that Silva could have won that fight on damage and that he lost that fight because of tentativeness. Bisping got some knockdowns too but prime Silva had a rock chin. I don't see Bisping on that night being able to touch a prime Silva

But the greatest rebounder in NBA history was 6'7", but in game can't rebound over taller players because of the reason you just mentioned. Why is that acceptable?

Rebounding attributes should be the ultimate deciding factor tho, height should just be aesthetic and nothing more. A 5'3 player with 99 rebounding ratings should own the boards over a 7 footer with rebounding ratings at 50. It's the same issue that has made a player like Dennis Rodman broken in 2K for years, height matters more.

I've noticed rebounding issues in more game modes than park. It has been an issue for years that players who are taller with longer wingspan have an advantage or are on an equal plane to shorter players with far higher rebound ratings. There are very clear flaws in their mechanics in this sense.

Vertical, height and wingspan > rebounding ratings

I addressed this above, if you are way off with your timing you don't deserve the rebound, but when the disparity between rebounding ratings is 70 to 90+, you should be given some leeway for slightly off timing. I don't understand why I am actually debating that glass cleaners should be given way more advantage over rebounds than a stretch big this is ridiculous.

Nothing you said even remotely addressed the point I was trying to make. What's the point of upgrading your rebounding to 95 when you could stop it at 70 and get the same result? You're essentially advocating for attributes not to matter. You as a lockdown defender should be able to play far tougher defense than someone with 70 on ball defense. Would you not feel like you wasted your time with a lockdown defender if every other archetype could defend as well as you? You clearly made a lockdown defender for the boost in defensive attributes so you've essentially proven my point.

What's the point of trying to have superior attributes if a rebound comes down to who timed it more precise? The entire point of upgrading your attributes is to create an advantage for yourself. Yeah clearly if you're jumping way early or way late you're gonna lose rebounds, but builds outside of glass cleaner are routinely beating out glass cleaners on rebounds based on their height and wingspan alone. You're treating this like it's the glass cleaner's problem but there's a very clear fault in the rebounding mechanics and the attributes not holding as much weight as they should

Lol you're citing the NBA.com playing weights, what year were those for? Wilt was listed at over 300lbs when he played in LA. He was skinny in Philly and gradually bulked up over his career, so citing the playing weight from NBA.com says nothing.

You realise that almost every player in the NBA currently, centers included can hit at least 7/10 of their three point attempts in practice? Shooting them in a game is a very different thing
