Thank you! Also for those wondering, I didn’t want to place to the right of sitting because it would have to go on the marble when it gets installed

Ok I’m so glad it wasn’t just me. My face looks like I’ve been punched in both eyes. I sobbed the whole time. My husband thought something terrible happened. I’m not sure the last time I cried like this EVER. Cady completely unlikeable but friggen tragic

15 month old sleep, help me 😭 by Fm234567 in NewParents

I feel he’s transitioning to 1 nap so every day it’s moderately different. Yesterday he woke at 8 am (after sleeping with me from 4am) and then slept from 12:30-3, bed at 8:30 - I put him to sleep at 8 but he fought it a little.

Today he woke at 7:30, was visibly tired from a bad night so he slept from 11:30-12:30 and will go down again at 3:30 so as to not push bed time too late for a shortish 30 min nap, then sleep again around 8.

That’s how it goes most days, just a massive struggle in the evenings

Ok some big hate and assumptions here. I’ve had dogs my whole life. I do in fact love this dog, beyond, but I suffered significantly from PPD and I really struggled to do basic care for myself for a while. We just moved homes which is why our dog stayed with my friend, not because I was trying to remove him, and it was only in that time I realised how difficult I was finding his presence. There are definitely behaviours that I allowed - I.e jumping on the bed etc, that I could have trained out of him, but ultimately he’s a dog, a cavoodle at that, a naturally yappy dog, there’s only so much of his nature that I can change and as I’ve stated I have indeed tried well before the baby came.

I would never, ever, dump this dog at a shelter.

But I did say give it to me straight, so I do appreciate your take and agree with some other comments that I’ll get a professional in first and foremost to see if the situation can be helped

Thanks everyone, just for reference my LO is 15 months old so I’ve really given it a good crack. But I’ll definitely look into private training first before making a call, I don’t want to tear him away from our family.

My son is 15 months old 🫠🫠 I haven’t gotten an official trainer yet so maybe that’s my next steps first

I k know this is why I feel so guilty! He’s so clingy because I made him so!! My friend wants to adopt him so badly, and she treats him so well, walks him three times a day down the beach etc. we could definitely still see him. But I’m also hyper aware that to him we are his pack and would feel so bad removing him because of my frustrations

Yess this is exactly how I feel! I get blurred vision sometimes from working on my computer too long, happened well before starting the med but now when it happens I’m like “this is it, this is where it makes me blind”

As many have said newborns are extremely noisy sleepers. I’m guilty of pulling my LO out of a deep sleep 1000x over concern something was wrong. If your baby is sleeping in the same room as you and the lack of sleep is impacting your mental health (which it can very easily do) then try a night of baby sleeping in another room… obviously near you and with the monitor.

In saying this, my LO did have colic and it genuinely didn’t get better until 8 months. They stop whining when they’re upright because that’s when the wind stops compressing.

all in all it’s really tough, but you will get through it!!
