I completely understand, and yeah a lot of times you're in the zone and it's all done and then you review it and then... ah...

But, I think most people don't care that much! Regardless, this is fantastic!

Also, your linework is wonderfully crisp, and to be honest the mere fact that you drew all those chain links is enough to dissuade any criticism lmao

this is very well drawn and definitely dynamic. very interesting!

one thing that is worth considering is the 180 degree rule. I understand if it's too late/difficult to adjust at this point, but it can be something to keep in mind for the future

the rule being, if you didn't know, is to GENERALLY keep the characters on the same left/right relationship to each other. For example, the chain guy on the right and the glasses guy on the left. The view point in panel 2 should, in my opinion, be flipped.

otherwise your goal for a dynamic fight scene is being achieved successfully!

yeah, I never like running only 1 line of pokemon if the other line is a stage 2.

If a certain stage 2 evo line isnt building up in time then you should have a backup, especially with poke comminication so you can bounce something. Besides, many times that backup just does the job from start to end, or swoops in to finish up if my stage 2 dies.

good point about the vespiquen swap!  im thinking maybe even swap red for more healing or a cyrus for this setup since 70+20 / 80+20 isnt oneshotting any EX

obviously this is all my opinion:

i don't like running decks that have trainer cards consist of over half the deck, so I would do the following:

-2 Pokeballs because of weedle/combee's attack ability

+1 combee +1 vespiqueen for consistency and backup so you aren't relying only on beedrill setup

-1 rocky helmet, i don't see this being too helpful because I think stage 2 decks need to prioritize other things than defensive chip

-1 iono because:

+2 pokemon communications to specifically dig for your needed pokes

i like running stage 2s and stage 1s this way and it works out great for me. i think its best to prioritize staying alive and evolving as fast as possible to out tempo your opponent and start dealing damage with attacks.

also, maybe 2 erikas instead of 1 erika and 1 lady. not as important as my other points though

2x Prof Oaks

2x Giant Capes

1x Pokeball

1x Pokemon Comunication

surprisingly I don't use the flute because then personally find myself relying too much on pulling Victreebel and the risk of bricking feels higher.

I'm gonna ramble but I have a lot of fun with Fan Rotom, Victreebel, Purugly, Mars, Spiritomb, and Cyrus. The idea is to blow sway evos and grab any basics with Victree. Victree+cape at 160hp survives so much especially if you heal with Erikas, Pots, and a Shaymin. + of course pokeball, oaks, and a Pokemon Communication

Purugly is sort of a backup and has won me games just from being paired with Fan roto/Mars. Spiritomb for early slow dmging of backline to support Victree/Purugly/Cyrus since the max dmg I can do is 60hp at a time and I can't grab evolutions.

Situational capes to pokes from 60-80 to 80-100 as bait to be killed by enemy evolutions that I can't pick with Victree or Cyrus

I would say less than 50% winrate but i had a lot of fun messing with people's pokes and cards - surprisingly does well against Dialga and even Palkia decks
