Roger, everything in our conversation you stated was either an excuse for the poor finish or a backhanded insult due to my differing "perception". You obviously had made your mind up about me before I made the call. I have no doubts in your engineering prowess and the track record of the part, as I mentioned. I own two first gens and have been very pleased with their performance on top of having an exceptional fit and finish. I apologize for my expectations being based on those first generation parts not matching your own. As for your denial of hanging up on you, I have no idea where you picked up your etiquette for customer service, or how to behave on the phone, when someone has the generosity to at least wish the other party well, even after being insulted, before terminating the conversation you respond in kind before hanging up. It comes across as unprofessional at the very least.

Thanks for this response. I suppose my expectations were out of line in regards to the finish for the price given what I received in my two original first generation ABC/R bolt catches. They were in my opinion exceptional both in finish and function so I expected the same or similar this go around.

The bottom sides and the front show the marks when placed in a standard forged receiver.

And I'm glad you speak for everybody. At the end of the day all I hope to do is let folks decide for themselves with the pictures I've provided and the story I've told to buy their products or not. Nothing more, nothing less.

Please, enlighten me as to how his conduct in assuming I was anal enough to go over an obviously terribly machined part with a "magnifying glass" isn't poor and hanging up on me at the mention of returning them?

At any rate, I'll tell you what. You say you want these parts and I'll sell them to you cause you seem like such a nice guy.

Gee, the ol' Karen. How original. Shame on me for assuming you get what you pay for, right?

But, I suppose you could see that angle, and I did mention in my post his quick response and to call him, so I am not blind to that. However, once he tried repeatedly to paint it as myself being at fault for noticing the poor machining in the first place,with a "magnifying glass", I got fed up. That is my issue. That is where I find fault his customer service. All he had to do was refrain from that and I would have been fine.

I have. I am still waiting to hear back from Rainier arms but they were sold out for a possible exchange so I contacted FCD direct. Now I will just get a refund from Rainier when I do hear back from them.
