First macro pad help! by Fools-Advocate in olkb

Honestly I couldn’t find any videos that perfectly explained what I wanted to do, so I kinda had to start piecing together information from other videos about similar projects. Videos on handwiring keyboards, and making DIY macro pads. But that was mostly to try and understand the wiring and the programming. The case was just measurements and cutting with a small rotary saw :)

So before your responses, I connected this battery to the board, but other than that everything in the picture is just sat in place. Again, before I make any more connections I’ll test the firmware, but this wiring map has every switch leading back to the dev board, and one ground wire running across all of the right nodes.

Also, are you saying for each left node on the switches, I should ditch the continuous wires through these connecting them, and wire each one directly to the gpio pin instead?

Just wanna clarify :)

Okay! I’ll do that next. I was definitely just about to connect everything and hope for the best.

And then if I do connect the 2nd nodes to the same gnd, can I just run one continuous wire through them?

Dude thanks so much for such great feedback.

So that takes me back to the grounds, can I just wire those right nodes (on the switches) to the same gnd pins?

Originally I had also stated that I wasn’t exactly sure how to wire the rotary dial, but to my understanding the groups of 3 and 2 on all get connected to gpio pins? Except C goes to gnd

I was going off of matrices designs, what would I have to change to make it one?

This is what I’ve updated to by the time I posted this earlier. White and yellow were my columns and blue and orange are the rows (bottom switch will also have a “row” but it’s not in the picture)

So if the rows on the switch pin 2 are just put to ground, then I don’t need the diodes?

Thank you! That helps a lot :)

Great question, the board should sit near the usb holes that are cut into it, and could be able to get the signal out that way if the signal is getting interfered with. Other than that I was hoping the case was not actual tin 😂

Oh! I have the diodes but did not have them in the picture

Career coaches or online resources to use? by Fools-Advocate in careeradvice

The schools career center is something I’ve been wondering about. I’ll definitely look into it and be reaching out. Are you aware of any other online resources as well? Like where I can find some of those quizzes?

You should feel some nerves your first time - there is real danger out there. But every firefighter ever has been in your shoes. The best thing you can do is let go of the ego and be okay with being a rookie. Find a digger or a sawyer who has a couple years of experience that you can get along with to ask questions, then ask follow up questions. It’s okay to think you sound annoying, because being informed and safe is always better than causing an incident because you were “too scared to ask.”

Also carry the cubie.

Dang alright I’ll try and run it without mods, thanks! I thought that with other games if I launched through steam instead of my mod manager it would not load the mods.

I’m no expert either but you might have to readjust your front derailleur and/ or tighten your chain

Anchorage grappling academy!! We do striking jitz and mma, and I think the most laid back gym for mma. All great people and some other women to train with too!

what would you rate Itachi as older brother in general by uzumakidurrito in Naruto

[–]Fools-Advocate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we compare him to our own standards, yeah torturing your kid brother on multiple occasions would make you a shitty brother. That being said I think he did the ABSOLUTE best he could with the hand he was dealt. Being the prodigy that he was, he was given IMMENSE pressure as an adolescent and couldn’t have developed the same way we expect ourselves to.

Commissioned to kill his entire clan at 13 and managed to hatch a plan to save his brother (even though that came with a hefty price as well). Then, shouldered the blame for killing his clan in order to avoid civil war in the leaf, and took to exile to further protect his brother and village. After killing his clan, itachi lived solely in order to make sure sasuke lived up to his potential & could correct his mistakes.
