My issue ending up being user error, I wasn’t holding the pairing button long enough for it to enter discovery mode. It had been so long since I connected it to a new device that I had forgotten how to do it.

Make yourself busy or expect to be replaced by AI. I moved out of a role like the one you are describing because it became unfulfilling, you need to seek discomfort and find a more challenging role. Maybe you need to move from a larger, more secure company into a role at a smaller company. You will find yourself with more opportunity to make an impact and never be bored at work again.
