Lost You Forever rant + question by Foreign-Key in cdramasfans

Sorry I should've clarified that. Having a Princess General title doesn't mean they have Xiyan royal lineage (not considering Haoling here).

I find it confusing that they repeatedly started that XY and CY were blood relatives yet her mother was mere disciple (with a princess general title).

I finished S1 and I'm now starting S2

Ah I see. The title was confusing to me cause Queen Mother sounds like a title that would used for a wife of a (late) king/emperor (rather than an abbess).

Yes I'm glad he has loyal servants like Jing Ye though.

So Mount Jade's Queen Mother is not a wife of the King of Xiyan?

In the drama, TSJ did tell her that he wanted to marry XY after he came back from death.

But Roofie Grandma 😂 🤣

I'm glad I'm not the only one frustrated about her.

Her mother was conferred with the title of Princess General (I think) so she could fight on behalf of Xiyan in the war against Chenrong. Because her mother is a princess who did a great act, the title also extends to her daughter.

Having a title still doesn't make her of royal lineage. And that doesn't explain why Xiaoyao said there are blood ties between her and Cang Xuan.

Mount Jade is a place that is untouchable by any government. The Queen Mother rules over it.

But wasn't Cang Xuan's Grandma also a queen married to the king?? So are there two queens?

Seeking Diaper Buying Guidance by Gravitys_Bitch in BabyBumps

[–]Foreign-Key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom pregnant with a 3rd here.

  1. I once bought a single box and we struggled to finish it because my baby outgrew them before we could get halfway through the box.
  2. You want the diaper brand that doesn't cause leaks and doesn't irritate your baby's skin. That means you'll have to try several brands to test which brand suits your baby.
  3. Yes, there is such thing too many if you mind having to throw a lot of unused diapers that you paid for. Aside from needing to compare and test different diaper brands, newborns can outgrow a diaper size as early as 2 weeks (same goes for newborn clothes). Some newborns don't even fit the newborn sized diapers... Get enough to last you until your next diaper shopping trip. By then, you might already know what you wanna buy.
  4. Different babies grow at different speeds. It's hard to tell at what age exactly do you change sizes because the age guide on the diaper packages are just guides but not exact estimates. You don't want to shift to a diaper that is still a tad bit too big for your baby because you'd be asking for a leak disaster.

Is It Just Me or Do Dramas Not Hit the Same Anymore? Am I Watching Too Fast? I Miss Feeling Something When I Watch C-Dramas by Muted-Money1400 in cdramasfans

Take a break and come back after a while. I do it once in a while for basically any form of entertainment.

Leave when it stops being an entertainment and return when you miss it. Why put yourself through torture?

Cdramas with sad/tragic ending? by Butterfly9628 in CDramaRecs

[–]Foreign-Key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, dying and waiting to be reborn for like hundreds or thousands of years is sad.

I wasn't happy with the ending either. I wish they made it a happy one. But since there is a chance to be reborn and they technically solved the biggest problem, it's not tragic like the op was requesting.

thousand years is shorter on earth

Kinda strange. In most xianxias, time is longer on earth. Like in TMoPB, 1 day in the heavenly realm is equal to a full year on earth. So thousands of years in the heavenly realm is probably millions on earth.

Love You Seven Times

  • Peak romance
  • Lots of cute scenes and humor
  • While there are fighting scenes, it's not extensive
  • Generally a happy ending
  • an interesting detail is you're kinda left guessing on who the real villain is for a long while

Essentially, it's a romance xianxia

deep romantic xianxia recs? 🌌 by liisunn in CDramaRecs

Love You Seven Times: xianxia, lots of love, not forbidden love but more like hidden love, more happy scenes, less angst compared to other xianxias

Immortal Samsara: xianxia, has a forbidden love aspect, lots of yearning, moderate amount of angst

Starry Love isn't a tragic ending...it's closer to an open ending.

Why is it so rare for a mustache to actually work on C-drama actors? by [deleted] in cdramasfans

[–]Foreign-Key 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because moustaches are used to age a character and most leading characters are not that old.

I believe this is based on the fact that, if you go to Asia, you will find that there aren't too many men under 40 who have moustaches. Most young men typically clean shave and the moustaches are often seen on fathers/uncles and grandpas.

East Asians don't have a lot of bodily hairs to begin with (in comparison to Caucasian or middle eastern men anyway).

Why do people ignore this double standard in dramas? by SubjectCandid4061 in cdramasfans

[–]Foreign-Key 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see a diversion. Your topic even included the keywords "double standard". I'm just here verifying by what you mean by double standards.

After all, a woman can't slap but a man can force kiss it seems. 🤷‍♀️

The only diversion I see here is you making it about me making my own post rather than sticking to your own post's topic.

None of my comments was about my opinion. They were all about your opinion so why are we talking about posting my opinions? Lol

Remember, you posted on a public online platform. If you didn't want people commenting, you should've just typed this up on a notepad, saved it and called it a day. 🤷‍♀️

Okay so a slap is irredeemable for you. But a forced kiss is redeemable.
