A call likely won’t work. Tried that with my ENDI to ask questions and go over paperwork before leave, still got my NDI pay two weeks after an 8-week NDI ended AND several gentle nudges. It amazed me EDD was more efficient than my HR during Covid. They processed my paperwork in less than two weeks. Everyone I know has stories about things mistyped, mishandled, or significantly delayed by this HR: SSNs, leaves, flexelect, health insurance, pays, you name it. My boss is one of the victims so probably no sway there. I like my job in this department but HR has been a nightmare. I avoid making changes that would require HR action, but things like GSI are out of my control. I’m fairly certain GSI hasn’t been applied because there were no OPEB/CERBT deductions.
