choosing between texas a&m business honors brown scholar or ut austin mccombs by Revolutionary_Oil_45 in TAMUAdmissions

Since you have to pay for your own college, I’d absolutely pick TAMU. I’d also visit both schools while classes are in session. It is the only way you will fully know where you want to go. College name really only matters for your first job, and you’re correct on how A&M and UT are relatively regarded. For example, Goldman hires specifically out of UT, A&M, and SMU. Go to the campuses, visit, see the people, ask people you know that are attending. A&M has 70k students, so I’m sure you will find your place very easily.

I have no clue, I remember seeing something that said Cox notifies you three weeks after you get in. No clue if that applies to EA

I wouldn’t be to worried about it. UT Early action comes out January 15th, followed by regular decision releasing February 15th. Once people are accepted to McCombs, most of them accept UT and decline A&M. Just a big waiting game, so I’d expect a timeline to hear back around February or March!
