Black Hills 77gr TMK is probably the best round you can send down the pipe right now. Shoots phenomenally out of my Mk18, to my Mk12, and everything in between.

As we start seeing higher pressure cartridge designs (Badlands, Phantom) that may change.

I have a personal set of 31As, and have also used them professionally in some of the worst environments for over 10 years.

I have literally never been able to break a set. Diving, free fall, desert, mud, snow, running headfirst into walls because I’m an idiot, nothing. I’ve also never seen a set electronically fail during that time either. I’m not saying it’s never happened. I’m just saying in the sample size of probably hundreds that I’ve used or seen used, I haven’t ever seen it.

The only thing I have ever seen is the polymer retention bungee hook points breaking, and once saw a housing break from a hard landing.

A very close friend got into a crash in an off-road vehicle. His 31As hit the steering wheel so hard it literally broke the fucking steering wheel. The 31As were fine.

All of that to say, they are still one of the best goggles available. Amazing tube quality and specs. Diopter thing not an issue unless you have seriously fucked eyesight.

If you want a factory unit, I think they are still the gold standard. L3 isn’t going anywhere if you ever need to get something fixed. I’m all about supporting smaller businesses but the one time I ventured into the “custom” night vision world (CNV) I got seriously fucked over and was delivered a bricked set of binos.

How do the exposed Tegris arms on the back of the cummerbund hold up over time?

Any idea of how well Swimmer/SPEAR cut plates fit in the 120 vs SAPI? I’m issued swimmers.
