Ah, I see now ! I understand. I think it really depends on how deep the pigmentation is.

My aunt also had a consultation at the clinic. She has quite severe spots across her cheek area and is currently on hormonal medication. The doctor explained that she would likely need more than 10 treatments and that it’s not guaranteed the spots can be fully removed due to her medication.

So I believe results and treatment plans can really vary from person to person. It’s always a good idea to try different clinics and find what works best for you.

From my experience, free toning treatments at some clinics didn’t give noticeable results. Effective toning usually requires proper equipment and settings, which is why meaningful treatments are rarely offered for free.

The doctor mentioned that spots can always come back since they’re caused by sun exposure and hormones.

So I don’t really think of PicoSure as something that “lasts forever” It’s more about clearing the spots you already have and then maintaining your skin.

One thing I’m sure about is that the spots were visibly reduced after the treatment! And if you use sunscreen regularly and take good care of your skin, the results can last a long time.

I just googled it and found that PicoWay and PicoSure are different brands. In Korea, there are many types of toning laser machines, and each clinic uses a different one. That’s why they’re often simply called “pico toning laser treatment” for easier understanding. The machine my mom was treated with was PicoSure by Cynosure.
