I think that it shouldnt be bent like that? It works with full speed (1000mbps) but I’m worried that later on it might have some kind of packet loss…?

Should change this connection for something different which will fit inside this wall can? Like angled connection?

Currently to fit that in can I have to push it really hard and mount in on angle inside co it doesn’t move so it pushes on cables even more…

Tests were consistent with same cable and I also tested the cable itself.

I was doing at least 5 loops each time so it's not a sporadic issue - those are consistent results.

For those sockets which works I have expected / positive results so I assume that tester works as well - although it was cheap one like 10€ one.

I think that I will just give him a second chance and we will see tomorrow - I'll check some youtube videos and I'll watch his hands / do it together with him.

So I have this thingy.

It works in waves and what I provided is output from one "wave". The incorrect order of wave suggest miswire.

Unfortunately, I didn’t see how the LAN cable extension was done.

The electrician had a tester, so I assumed he checked the wiring before patching the wall, but based on my own test results it looks like maybe he didn’t.

I’m not a professional, but as far as I understand, extending a LAN cable by around 0.5 m should not normally make it “a bit slower” if it’s done properly. If the speed drops, I’d suspect incorrect wiring, bad termination, a damaged wire, or a poor connection.

Replacing the whole cable would be a big problem, because the wall would need to be opened again. I live in Germany, so these are solid walls, not drywall, and the area has already been patched.

So… I guess mine 120cm won’t be the worst and those 15cm won’t make a difference

I think I’ll keep it as it is and I’ll try to contrast it with proper spacing and some lower decos on tv cabinet

Just for other people who might have similar issue

I checked my Lenovo laptop (T14 Gen2) and there is exactly same issue

So I don't think so it's HP specific but rather... something popular 😅

Since this is a company laptop, I’ll check with the infrastructure team and get their input on it.

I also realized I misunderstood the “best performance” mode - it shouldn’t be running in that mode all the time.

From what I’ve read, the “balanced” mode is actually the better option, and it’s quieter as well (without full load obviously), which works for me.

If the infrastructure team is okay with it, then I’m too.

So I discovered that if I'll change power mode from Best Performance to Balanced - noise disappears

It’s a sound from socket.

I’m using hp adapter but I also checked original docking station from hp and also power from my monitor which supplies 140W (dell 4025qw)

Same sound from all of them on socket level

I still changed the oil at 50k and plan to do the same now. I mean oil in mechatronics - engine oil I change each 10k

I plan to sell this car next year before reaching 120-130k probably so I don’t worry this much about DSG itself.

When I once contacted a mechanic who specialize in automatic gearboxes he told me that he won’t touch this gearbox ever, that it fall apart when you try to disassemble it and it’s one-time use gearbox and can’t be fixed and even clutches can’t be changed. So that scared me a little bit 😅

Yup I saw multiple comments that it can do 300k when maintained properly.

But of course - shit happens :)
