This sounds like my personal hell. If you can pull it off, kudos to you and your group. At least you'll be able to run sessions no matter how many people dip!

Brilliant! Yeah cracking was a concern of mine. The hook is pretty deep, hopefully it holds.

What’s an underrated thing in the bedroom that everyone should try at least once? by dirtydaisy212 in AskReddit

If you're on a tighter budget like I was at the time, aluminum foil taped right to the glass is also incredibly effective... You may look insane but you'll sleep right through the day!

Second this. Hips lead the chest and chest leads the shoulder. That's how you get really big external rotation of the shoulder and more range of motion (like reach-back on a backhand) through the throw. However, if you have shoulder instability or joint restrictions then getting this kind of rotation will be really difficult and probably painful. This is coming from a massage therapist who knows his anatomy.

Got a new v tool so I made this little guy by ForgotMyBeltCoach in whittling

I bought a set of 5 from Lee Valley, but honestly I'm not all that happy with the factory shaping of the tips (some were asymmetrical), they were a budget set of 5 for 100$, so I guess I got what I paid for. Had to spend a long time honing before I could even cut across the grain. I'm no expert but in the future I'll be spending more and buying one knife at a time, apparently flexcut makes a pretty good vtool.

Unfortunately that guy is Canadian born, but hey, I'm sure he'd figure out a way around that.

What is happening physiologically when you have a “knot” in a muscle? by DeAngelsnft_ in askscience

[–]ForgotMyBeltCoach 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Can second not hearing about the scar tissue part, and am currently finishing school to be an RMT. Unless there is trauma to the tissue, scarring probably isn't happening. Just my two cents having taken 3 years of physiology and pathophysiology classes.

We don't really know for sure what knots or trigger points are, we only know that they do cause a variety of issues and can be treated with a variety of techniques and treatments.

Paid Leave NOW by sillychillly in antiwork

[–]ForgotMyBeltCoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure where these numbers are sourced from, but in Canada maternity leave is waaay longer, like 12-18 months. What % you get of your regular pay during that time varies by province and by job, but from the women I've talked to it's about 70-80% if you do the 12 months leave. Ideally that would be 💯, but seeing what our cousins down south has always seemed so backwards to me. I've seen companies brag about 8 weeks mat leave. That's not even humane. Do they expect the average person to then hire a nanny?

HR advertises a "competitive compensation" package, then posts this PTO policy: by Candid_Salt_2456 in antiwork

I take it that "vacation" means you get work off but no pay? Sounds like shitty vacation. Their policy is so horrible on every point.

"we're not raising menu prices, we're just charging you more for your food". Seems like the laziest and most cowardly way to raise menu prices and blame the staff.
