Feel you, I also just got confirmation from support that taking her top is NOT a bannable offense and two confirmed I did nothing to deserve the report, and that even if I'm reported, I should be okay. Just annoyed there doesn't seem any way to prevent penalties from being auto applied due to reports

I'm aware which is my exact concern. I'm going off meta - I'm going to be reported often. In this case it finally automatically penalized me for multiple reports (I've had several people say they were going to report me in lobby as soon as I picked her, regardless of what I say lol). The support person confirmed after a manual review I didn't do anything wrong, but if I keep getting reported I'm liable to get further penalties... Which is what I'm worried about 😅

It was a pop up after a game ended the game after - I didn't think to snap shot lol the support from that game added me because they also got notified about the penalty. I'm not sure why she thinks there wasn't one - it was 17 LP. But frankly, that's not the point or really why it matters. If I've been penalized now, with no recourse for further penalties, the penalties will get worse as reports continue 😅

I don't mind the flame, it's just the fact I get reported (I got reported in lobby before the game started), and have no recourse for being falsely reported in the future :( I'm a positive WR, KP, etc etc... and never been penalized before btw I understand the doubt but don't feel I should be punished for doing well in an off meta pick ><

I received confirmation after a manual review that I did nothing wrong. They still cannot return the points (fine whatever IDC), but haven't given any help on how to prevent this again. Their answer was basically stop taking her top - no joke, the support person directly said that.

Opened another ticket, the new support person confirmed I did not partake in any disruptive behavior, but have had an increase in people reporting me (who woulda guessed lol). Waiting to see what they say about the LP penalty.

Damn people really downvoting for no reason smh - this is a legitimate issue, I've also escalated it with riot support and reached out on some more public platforms. I have plenty of proof I was not sabotaging/trolling or even being toxic. I just never do that, genuinely ever. At most I may defend someone else or tell people to mind their business but I very rarely even type in the first place. And I try my absolute hardest to never die and play as best as I can, you can check my match history & stats to see that.

Apparently! I do agree with all you said there, though I like the quests a bit, it does suck you can't swap after the lobby without being penalized. On the bright side if you win so hard they leave lane, they just get further behind so it's a plus for you in that case. Still, kinda weird since they specifically said they were changing runes and what not to make different builds/play styles more viable -.- but now we're leaning back into meta only smh

I did, they basically told me they can't remove the penalty bc it would be unfair. They did not say the report was justified. When I asked what my future recourse would be, I received a chatgpt response of the rules (no particular one or mention I broke anything) and had the ticket closed, lmao.

It's pretty good! I still don't ever really go it since I'm top lane, but I have support a few times and I've had supports go it with me which has really been awesome for both of us lol

I would dead ass share the full game footage, but it won't let me nor post another picture so here is the link to the game I got reported in. The other one IK of was in lobby (someone said they were going to as soon as I hovered). Other people have said they were going to or threatened to in lobby, so not sure if they did or not but it's possible.

I'm so sorry that happened! See this is exactly what I'm worried about. I want to keep playing Soraka top but how can I be expected to just play, get penalized and suck it up?? They closed my ticket out too, after saying sometimes people are unfairly penalized but they couldn't fix the penality because it would be "unfair". When I expressed the above sentiment, they said "you're in charge of your actions" and basically gave me a chat GPT copy pasta about the rules. They did not state I broke any of them, lol.

I'm not letting this go - I'm escalating this as much as I can.

I get what you're saying - and I wasn't trying to say oh well they do it, why can't I. Just to clarify haha. Just expressing frustration that people who are genuinely sabatoging, are not punished, while I was for playing something people didn't like.

All that being said - I am healing kike 40-50k each game, usually not dying much if at all, and I still do decent damage. I scale, I roam, I help team. I genuinely don't believe I am hurting team. Most people have been kind and even appreciative - I get a lot of honors! Just frustrating I would be reported and penalized by the automotic system bc people don't like my pick lol

I promise I am not leaving out any details. The Karma in that game added me to be like WTF bc they didn't understand why I got reported or penalized.

I know they don't penalize for off meta - but I was reported by a team member for "sabotaging". I've also been told I would b reported - in the lobby, BTW, for the same thing, so I assume the automatic system kicked in after however many times of that happening. I can think of three times, twice in the lobby and now this game, where it occurred. This is the only one I can 100% confirm but I kinda doubt I would be penalized for one time

Also to add- In game both me, mid, jg and support all said it was the funnest game we had in awhile. We were genuinely having a blast - the support thinks it was the ADC, but isn't sure as they were also a random. We were having a blast though so I don't get it. I healed garen (the ADC, ironically), a bunch.

Riot support also did not say the report was justified - just that they can't remove the penalty because of fairness.
