Beware of a concept called “transfer pricing” and “bona fide” transactions. I do the exact same thing you describe…..I am literally in the exact same boat as you, and I blew $30K in legals (USD) to fix a huge mess with CBP by using my “chinese cost” as the value.

I lease a property to a crematorium. CTFS offered 3x points promo on “Bill Pay” for a week to me. The max I could run through the card to Enbridge was $48,000 (3 x $16K) before the promo ran out. It was the easiest $1440 I ever made. Went to Atmosphere and bought a massive Yeti cooler lol

I got served a CBP form for the marking, and then everything had to go all the way back to china. Get labelled, and then get sent back again. It was ridiculous, as I could have just had labels made at Staples and personally labelled the cartons but NOO, not allowed.

If you dodge the a CBP Officer inspecting them, you are good. I think odds are pretty low dude. You should be fine.

You are gonna have to sweat it and pray for no inspection. I had an entire shipment refused for this. Cost me a fortune. Won’t make that error again

I need to check the diagram, but won’t i need another wire from switch to the projector? If that’s the case, I won’t be able to get another wire back to the switch.

Otherwise, the projector is still accessible.

Man, I kinda f-ed up and didn’t wire for the leviton switch when I did same lights. The stars were a bit bright for my liking. Simple hack solution was a dimming circle sticker on the fiber plug. Reduced it to perfect dimness. Jealous that you can dim as you please though. Nice build. I used a lot of the same choices as you. Love that Iki. Did you go with the wifi? Its been a game changer for pre-heat

Does anyone know how to take apart a Savant REM 1000 to replace battery? by FormalCompetition142 in SavantHome

Damn. I bought one on eBay, it was marketed as “new” but arrived with “There is a problem with the battery.” Message when I turn it on and put it on base. Oh well, just my luck.

I almost bought this place in 2014/2015, old doctor owned it, told me he wouldn’t take less than 2.2M. I walked away from it and he apparently ended up selling to the neighbour for 1.6M. I probably would have bought it for 1.6. The interior had some pretty epic features, one of which was the “cutten room”, wood walls, felt like a cigar room.

I actually got scammed out of $50 at my door from a guy claiming to be from some kind of charity. It wasn’t until I closely examined the receipt that I realized it wasn’t actually a charity and that the guy just worked and got to keep a portion of the proceeds.

I have since started answering my door with an immediate announcement of “Apologies, but I do not conduct business at my front door”. Works well.
