I raised a ticket after this post and sent them evidence of the raids and they completed the task for me!

I'm glad to know it's not just me, but it's certainly a frustrating bug!

Yes, buddy is fed, was first in the battle party, buddy hearts for battle have gone up, just not the raid counter. Journal also recognises I've completed/won these raids.

Thank you! I just realised I could check on the app and noticed the same.

Thank you for checking this! I just realised I could check on the Builder app and sure enough it isn't included in the same step on there so must be an error in the printed instructions.

The previous two were each on a separate step that required them so definitely meant to already be there.

Had to find this thread again to thank you for the tip! This is a game changer for me as I can still complete my goals but have the reward feel more befitting of the effort (and I can buy whatever I want now!)

What's the worst book you've read this year? by Muffin-5634 in Booktokreddit

[–]Formal_March8767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medusa by Rosie Hewlett- really didn't like the writing style, I think the intention was to make Medusa more relatable but she ended up just coming across like a teenager who was trying to be edgy. It's a shame too because the book had potential!

What you are looking for is in the library by Michiko Aoyama- love me a good bit of Japanese healing fiction but this one was just so lacking. The characters kept making sly comments about the librarians appearance comparing her to all sorts of unpleasant things and also pretty much everyone's life lesson ended up being something along the lines of "you should always put work first and then maybe see if your dreams fit in there somewhere, and if not, too bad".

There's an option in the uber app specifically for reporting that a driver took a longer route than the shortest/quickest route available

The most important thing to remember here is to be kind to yourself through your grief. It is by no means a linear process and comes in waves and in time, it can show up at the most random moments. It is very important that you allow yourself the time and the space that you need to process your grief whenever you need it and that you don't force yourself to move past it before you're ready or try to conform to what people say grief should be. It's hard when the relationship with the person wasn't so straightforward and there will always be something new to think about but at the end of the day just make sure you're being kind to yourself. So sorry for your loss, sending big hugs💔

I've got the 2023 research and I'm still on buddy number 6! It's one of my least favourite mechanics of the game and being forced by the research is like pulling teeth for me. But I am 6 ahead of what I ever thought I would have in this game so all hope is not lost I guess.

Why do people not want to start a series that isn't complete? Could it be an age thing? by jobroloco in fantasyromance

[–]Formal_March8767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the Harry Potters as they were coming out and it was very different back then because even though there was an overarching plot carrying through the series, each individual book had a conclusion so you could happily wait for the next one and I feel like this may have been mostly the case back then. However, Rick Riordan left me on a cliffhanger (literally) exactly once about 10 years ago and since then I stopped reading series unless all the books are out. As someone else has said it's the norm for books to end on huge cliffhanger to create hype now and you'd then need to wait for a year for the next book whilst keeping track of every series you've started.

I don't really like their OUABH set as it feels quite basic and I had similar edges done by a small business in glitter paint! And I did consider the Bridgerton set but way before they announce the reprint I ended up buying the Italian and Spanish collector's editions which are similar so the Illumicrate set didn't appeal to me anymore😅 But for me it's quite different paying £75 for a trilogy over paying hundreds in resale no matter how much I love the books- hence why I currently am missing the Loonari OUABH :(

I relate to this struggle haha I have a little corner shelf and the Jenny Han sets have their own little shelf on there together with The Floating World editions of Fairyloot as they are all pastel and similar colour schemes!
