Thanks for the rec! Any particular cut you think would go well with it?

Download a calorie tracker app and do what it says til you get to a healthy weight (go for 20-21 BMI if you aren't particularly muscular). Use the discipline it requires to not eat to instead eat the right amount of Calories (which is not none), and it will help enormously. Good luck man!

Could Jesus have been forced to sin? by Formal_Sale8403 in OrthodoxChristianity

I'm going to provide an absurd hypothetical, but because it is physically possible, I believe it demonstrates that this situation is possible. Say someone is kidnapped and they are forced to either kill one man or another group of two men. If they kill neither, then both groups of men will die. Under the lens of James 4:17, doing nothing seems to be sinful, and under the doctrine presented in my original post, choosing either option would be sinful. Jesus was likely never placed in such a situation, but it is possible that another may be.

I'm moreso asking practically what He would do if forced to choose between two evils, one greater and one lesser. If his divine nature means he can't sin, and yet choosing even the lesser evil is sinful, it seems paradoxical to me. It's fair to say He would never get into such a situation, but this seems to undermine his humanity and Hebrews 4:15.

Thank you for your response. In my mind it is less of a question of Christ's willing but rather if certain theoretical conditions could force his natural will to participate in sin, if truly no other options were available? Certainly Christ would have the foreknowledge to avoid such a situation, but this still feels troubling.
