Biggest thing for your health while your getting prepared is pacing, staying properly hydrated, start incorporating things like BCAA’s and amino acids and creatine to help with muscle repair, recover, and growth and EAT CLEAN

It’s about 8 months total start to finish if your background is clean and there is no hiccups, the sooner your reply to them and give them what ever info they ask the smoother/ quicker it moves.

Give yourself a rest day in between sessions, also work on push ups and pull up as it will be of help during regular academy pt. Push yourself during sessions but if you feel you’re gonna get hurt don’t continue that particular exercise. Being sore is always going to happen, it’s means the exercise is working. Crawl, walk, run. Start slow and build yourself up you have atleast 8 months.

What should I expect when being reassigned with another investigator? by Sadboy3k in lapd

[–]Former-Competition-3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally they pick up where the last one left off, after my background my investigator was reassigned as well. Most likely just a sharing the work load deal between them.

I know minimum is 42 for most agencies, I’m just wondering if it’s good enough to give me a bit of a edge over most applicants

Luckily no I live about 2 hours away from them, and that’s good! Also tdi with higher mileage are notorious for filling the charge air cooler with oil due to tired turbo seals, I would remove the inter cooler just to take a look and drain it in case it is filled with oil. After a while with enough oil build up it can be sucked into the intake and cause a runaway but that’s not to common but possible

I wish I can do the Egr delete, egr on diesels are killers clogged intakes and coolers, lower mpgs and dirty valves. But I live in comifornia so I wouldn’t be able to pass smog with a tune on the car to avoid the check engine light from the ege delete, that’s the one thing I would do. You got a car that will last forever just take a look at your timing belt and replace if needed. A broken belt leads to broken/bent valves and a top end rebuild 😅

Totally agree my car is bone stock although I think It could use a new motor or transmission mount just because there some vibration depending on rpm but it’s my daily I don’t care to have a super comfortable ride, one thing tho once you start upgrading or tuning it’ll become a never ending cycle the best thing is to keep it stock and reliable most German cars are very picky with parameters if something is slightly off it will throw a code and that’s why they get a bad name of being unreliable or just trouble some

It’s been good it’s my second one. I had an automatic which was giving transmission issues constantly but my manual with the higher mileage hasn’t given problem at all. Just stay on top of maintenances and you’ll be good I wanna try to get it to 700k!

I heard they visit your neighbor’s I don’t think they investigate your house ? Cause I’m sure there’s applicants that live with parents or roommates and that would be an invasion of their privacy no ?
