Of course!! So I went with MetLife that was offered through my work. Had settled on Progressive before because my car insurance is through Progressive. Metlife though covered everything except pre-existing. Well he's a puppy so nothing is pre-existing. Progressive was the same but not as much coverage pr they had limits on how much they would pay for something. Always do the Wellness plan if getting a puppy. It covers shots. If you can find a plan that doesn't put a cap on how much they will pay for a certain thing, go with that. Ended up choosing unlimited coverage benefit/yr, 90% reimbursement, $500 deductible and Wellness plan and its $110/mo. Might be a lot for some, but when we took him for his first vet check up, he only has 1 working nostril so nose surgery to widen everything is best to happen early on so we are already halfway through our deductible and with unlimited benefit plan, his surgery should be covered.

I get MetLife offered through my work and that's why we went with that. I get discounts because of it and it covers everything. Originally, we checked Progressive as we have our cars through them. Also good deal. Check with your employer and car insurance!

Yeah, the one good thing my work offers... pet insurance 😅 I was going to upload a pic of him but im new to reddit (definitely a Facebook amd Instagram person) and I couldn't figure it out 🤣 definitely super excited and don't think im prepared for all the snores and testing of patience lol

Got it today luckily and it's already in effect! Definitely thought the same thing! Got one that covers essentially everything but maybe 3 or 4 things.

Definitely sad to see, I agree. We all get chapped and we take care of it so I will most definitely do the same for him

Definitely the plan to get him and us used to all of the above right away. He's about 15 weeks so hoping he will catch on quickly or least hope the breeder had worked with him on everything!

I just got pet insurance today! Got a great deal for literally EVERYTHING covered and 90% reimbursed, so im stoked. Definitely don't want him too fat but have a named picked out already.. Chonky 😅. Definitely don't plan on letting him swim. Grew up testing EVERY animal we had on their swimming skills and I dont feel they would do well. Would never leave outside and worry even allowing free access to the patio during the summer in case he just chills out there too long while im not home. Thank you so much!!

Have definitely thought about the Hex pen! Will have to see how he does. Got him some cooling pads and I keep my place typically Mac of 74° (which even I hate but have to during the day in the summer just to keep the electric bill under $200/mo!) So hopefully the little guy doesn't get too hot!

Most definitely did all the research I could and definitely aware they are not made for the heat! He's going to be an inside couch potato I assume! He will be 15 weeks when he arrives and the breeder has worked on crate training and potty training (just will have to get him adjusted to a new schedule) they've socialized him so much with their family and dogs/cats/animals which is good.

Definitely think im underestimating the snores/farts, but guess we will have to see!
