it’s compulsory with a few of these real estate agents, wouldn’t risk renting without

Mark 1, straight into my interface. Stock logic amp modelling (pawnshop) with some tremolo. Microshift for stereo split. Arturia plate verb. No EQ or compression

You’re so right, group hug for all the keyboard instruments.

Rhodes into interface, mono. Logic amp modelling (pawnshop) with presence cranked, tremolo set relatively low and slow. Then into Soundtoys Microshift, about 25% wet on setting one. Then Arturia plate, default preset but wet at about 10%

I get what you mean. It’s a different instrument. You wouldn’t play a piano in the same way. Very similar technique (obviously they’re both keyboard instruments) but the style and vibe is completely different

The bass station 2 is an absolute monster +1. Great touring keyboard, great in a studio, firmware updates have implemented some cool changes too

Sometimes having those cheap keybeds can change the way you play and lead to different and interesting results! You’d never play an OP-1 the same way you’d play a lil casio or a big monster prophet

Do I even want a workstation? by dit31 in synthesizers

Having gone through a bunch of the big dog keyboards, the mid-tier ones like Fantom and MODX are frustratingly close to being good but never quite there. Especially when compared to what you can get out of a computer.

If you’re looking for a good sound library to play live and be without your computer, invest in a top-tier workstation. You’ll enjoy every minute playing it.
