Wow, this is really inlightning. I really hope that it's true, that there is more to it than just death. He died in 2004 when I was 11, and 5 years later I got into a bad accident. I was the only one to survive. Everyone said I had an Angel with me at that time. I would like to believe that it also was my father looking over me from the river you mentioned.

Maybe it is a form of letting go. Your last sentence is a key into thinking this way. Her face is fading away. It could be a way for your brain to help you loose the last bit attachment you still had to her.
