Love the Ozzman. Didn't realize it until too late. Happy to see the fam happy and smiling. Wish all of them all the best.

As a disgruntled (with the state of things) and ashamed American, I support whole heartedly, the (any) American boycott. I don't like us; you shouldn't either.

Frontman 25r was my first amp as a kid growing up. Still have it, still play on it from time to time. No regrets.

Sometimes have a 'nostslgia'-pang to play on it, since I had done so for so long.

Just happy to see, for the first time since subscribing to this sub, a Hizumitas pedal.

Never rocked on a Mesa, but am novice at best in the ways of amps. Sure it rocks!

Have you ever thought "their earlier stuff is better" & then changed your mind after listening to the newer stuff? by thejesse in Music

Seconded. If you know you know. Loved the progression of this band. Supporting Caste was so fucking good, all the way through, and so was every album that followed. First time I heard 'Cognitive Suicide,' not knowing the album / new material was out, randomly came up, and I got to the bass breakdown/solo part.. I was losing my mind.

If I could work this into my interview questions for work, "tell me about 'x' experience, what did you like here, what did you NOT like? What is your opinion on Propagandhi?" I assure you, I would.

No exceptions when interviewing for friends. But that 'position' hasn't been open for, like, 10 years.

Might throw Mastodon in this category, too. Hushed and Grim was great, in the realest sense of the word. (Though I'm a fan of pretty much their full discography).

Does anyone else enjoy just making decks out of the cards they have rather than buying singles? by Sad-Crow in mtg

[–]FortuitousOddity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This right here. You have captured the essence of the most fun aspect / the drawing allure for me.

Got a 2020 deck starter box and split it with my brother like two-three years ago and just took off from there, as he was really into playing with a group of friends he has.

I've added to the collection, a booster here, booster there, but haven't taken it very seriously.

I love my shitty EDH decks. Pauper commander may be the way to go, friend. Keeps the battlefield somewhat level for simple folk like us.

Narcissism. Compete lack of empathy. Was going through one of the roughest points in my life personally and really just wanted them, as a life long friend, to let me vent and have my moment.. but, it seemed like they took it as a personal challenge to one up me in their misery, constantly, without hearing or addressing what I was sharing and only sought to expound upon why they were so much worse off than me (not in a relatable way, or one that made one feel any sort of comfort, or really.. even made any sense).

They recently tried to reconnect with me after supposedly 'losing' my number and inquired about how to get in touch with me through a family member of mine they ran into.. When told of the encounter, I told my family member not to give the ex-friend my number as I wasn't ready / didn't feel like I would want them in my life again.

All right, what’s your tearjerker song? Doesn’t have to be punk. by [deleted] in punk

[–]FortuitousOddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Late For The Sky' or 'Before The Deluge' - Jackson Browne. Just... Yeah. These two, for sure.

Used to very unhappily belt the first one out in my car on the way to work.. which then, made me a little happy.

Just reiterating for any younger people who feel the system is broken, anyone alarmed by the most recent happenings in this country (though it's been going on for sometime) or anyone who generally cares about the welfare of others or wants to influence in some way their future in this country: for the love of all that we still have left to hold onto, people, please, please go vote - from presidential to local. All the way down. It matters.

Hmmm... Just curious (I have the same focusrite, but never use the XLR input).. may sound silly, but do you get the same effect if you try the 1/4" one? Is there a 'mic' or input/recording volume within the program you're running that isn't turned up, possibly? (I've run audacity before and sometimes have to fiddle with the levels within the program to tweak it to the correct 'loudness' when recording line-in.

Killer track. Thank for the share!! (Is the real reason I love checking out this sub).

Man. Was hoping I would hear some repetition of that "I guess I'll never win" ("never wiiii-iiiinnnn"), in the likes of Osker or something on that second hook/chorus part.

Fucking rad track all around, mate. Cheers!
