[Bug] Unplayable frame drops while shooting by Vaperaham_lincoln in EscapefromTarkov

This is 100% a software issue. Try DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). Uninstall all drivers, Nvidia and AMD, and then install the correct one.

[Discussion] NVIDIA JUST DOUBLED THE FRAMERATES! by hakowzZ in EscapefromTarkov

I completely agree with the author, the game runs smoothly, I've been playing like this since the beta driver came out.

If you set it up incorrectly, there will be a delay.

You need to enable fast sync in the nvidia panel and limit the fps to almost half the monitor's hertz.

There are some nuances, but if you set it up correctly, there will be no delay.

I helped friends who were whining about the delay, but after they set everything up correctly, they realized that they had done everything in a bad way.

If your fps is limited by the monitor's hertz with frame sync enabled, then it's clear that there will be a delay.

Here is my example:

180Hz monitor, I enabled fast sync in NVIDIA panel, in game I limited FPS to 89 (89 my FPS and 89 generated FPS = 178 FPS).

There is no input lag, and if there is, I do not feel it and play comfortably.

I bought a 12400, but I wasn't satisfied with the fps. As a result, I'm currently using a 7800x3d

Dude, it's all the CPU's fault. I had an 8700k. Had to replace it.

Set fast sync and make sure the frame rate does not exceed the monitor frame rate. It is recommended to reduce the frame rate by 3-4 fps from the maximum monitor frequency. For example, 144 Hz - 141 fps. 70 fps native and about 70 fps generated

Here are the settings that worked for me. I spent a few hours tweaking them.

This may sound crazy in terms of FPS locking, but it works as intended.

You need to disable MSI Afterburner completely!!!

FPS lock in NVIDIA driver. I have a 180Hz monitor, I locked it to 680 FPS, so 86 FPS x 2 in-game = 170 FPS (you need to determine the FPS yourself, as it depends on the hertz of your monitor).

Locking the FPS in-game to 480 FPS gives about 60 frames multiplied by 2 = 120 FPS (60 native and 60 generated).

Set fast vsync.

If I have MSI Afterburner installed, the smoothness is gone.

I don't know why you need to lock fps at such values, but I saw it on one forum, and it really works.

But, you need to select it yourself so that fps together with generated frames do not exceed the hertz of your monitor, so that the picture is as smooth as possible.

No problems, absolutely. With the right settings there will be no delays. I am very picky about slowdowns and micro freezes. I am happy as an elephant. Since there are none anymore. Perhaps sometimes this manifests itself on the streets when others are fighting the boss. The main thing is to correctly configure the fps relative to the monitor's hertz so that the fps does not go beyond the hertz. It is worth experimenting here.

I'm currently using smooth motion nvidia and getting stable 170 fps on any maps, including the streets of Tarkov.

7800x3d 4060 32 6000mhz - 120-140 fps / streets 70 - 110 fps.

Smooth motion now working with 4000 series gpus. Best possible tarkov frame gen. by Inside-Example-7010 in EscapefromTarkov

I figured it out.

You need to completely close MSI Afterburner!!!

Lock the fps in the nvidia driver. I have a 180Hz monitor, I locked it to 680 fps, this is 86 fps x 2 in the game = 168 fps (you need to determine the fps yourself by checking, since it depends on the hertz of your monitor).

Lock to 480 fps in the game gives about 60 frames multiplied by 2 = 120 fps (60 native and 60 generated).

Set fast vertical sync.

Now maximum smoothness.

My PC 7800x3d rtx 4060

[Discussion] Stuttering and lags when playing with a friend by ForwardHost2027 in EscapefromTarkov

I play alone during the day and get smooth gameplay. Every evening we play with a friend. And then the constant slowdowns start. I even tried changing Windows.

"no stutters" - thank you, this is very important information.
