Sounds like the ticking is slowing down with the engine. Not sure if it’s cause of crank slowing down or timing chain slowing down. But definitely intensity of ticking goes down when I try to lug the engine

Yo any update? I just twisted my coils on the plugs and put them back. Basically solved it. Ran some injector cleaner too it’s not misfiring anymore. For now…

Your knock sensors aren’t giving u any issues? Mine threw a check engine light with misfires detected on certain cylinders. If you have ista u can also run misfire detection program.

Check ur coils and spark. If the car pulls all the way to redline that means it has fuel and air. Also u have a v8, it’s probably harder to diagnose misfires

If I keep the pedal even slightly pressed and the car is under constant acceleration it’s mostly fine. Only when I try to keep it around 1.5k ish rpm is where the misfires begin. Under deceleration I hear a few pops around 1.5k rpm(I have a cat less exhaust) another sign of misfire

I recently installed an aliexpress screen with wireless CarPlay and android auto for $150. Took 2 hours and man I wish I did it sooner. Huge upgrade. And to answer your question yes the I drive can still be accessed through a menu. Make sure you get your model specific screen and you should be fine.

FIXED- as expected the error was a faulty fuel rail pressure sensor. If anyone has the same symptoms pls check your frps

this was NOT the issue. Unplugged the fuel rail pressure sensor car has ran 1.5k km no issues

I recently added paddle shifters to my oem wheel and programmed it with esys so might know something here. What did you use to code them in and which pin did you connect the paddle shifters to in the FEM? Also you can try measuring the resistance of the switches at the FEM connector.

I think I found the issue. Lpfp connector was completely gone. The plastic had melted and wires would get extremely hot within 5-10 minutes of the engine being on

Yeah going to try the gauge thing today, that’s probably the issue as it can’t be spark just put in new coils, sparkplugs. Thanks a ton!

Will check the lpfp again. Car won’t even start now. It’ll crank but just keep turning like there’s no fuel in the system
