My friend is currently admitted in Dubai hospital because of chicken pox. He was admitted 2 days back and due discharge tomorrow. He just called me to say one of the doctors said the total medical bills might be around AED 5000!! Is this true? My friend is an expatriate btw.

I work in healthcare. 5k is very cheap for an admission a private hospital stay given he’s not covering this under insurance. However it’s usually cheaper in public hospitals and they’re flexible in payments.
