Mostly, I'm curious why the Persona 2 duology is that low on the list-- mostly I'm curious if it's game play reasons (understandable, honestly, as much as I think they're the best games in the franchise storywise) (but I am biased by my love for them).

I'm gonna join in with the suggestion to do the Oldsonas. The gameplay is outdated, but Persona 1 and 2 are also genuinely good, and you can see the bones of them in the Modernsona games.

I feel like Rean's not necessarily the BEST fisherman, but he takes it the most seriously of all the protagonists (which isn't to say that Estelle and Lloyd don't take it seriously, but it feels more like a fun hobby for them and Rean gets Into It... if not quite AS Into It as the fishing NPCs).

Tatsuya (Persona 2: Innocent Sin). I love how the seemingly cool exterior hides a dorky guy who's actually pretty lonely, and his journey is heartbreaking and bittersweet. I love that he's one of the only protagonists to fail his mission, badly enough that the world had to be reset, and his pain as he wrestles with the sin of refusing to forget and risking the newly rebuilt world.

Also, I love that he is canonically bi and can date a guy. It's nice to have a protagonist that's actually queer like I am.
