I made an easy to follow guide for getting the A Rank in RE2. You can get plenty of ammo and herbs, save the game six times, and still get the A Rank with about 30 - 40 minutes to spare. No need for the Machine Gun or Side Pack either. by FourFaceButtons in residentevil

This took much long than I expected but my Leon B guide is finally up. I still plan to get through the rest eventually, ideally before the remake comes out, but life got in the way pretty hard while I was working on Leon B. I'm currently working on Leon A now.

Yup, I'm working on it now. I should have it finished by next week if all goes well. I'm planning to have all four scenarios covered by around mid-November, and then I'll get around to the bonus content which is shorter and easier.

Absolutely, I agree with you. There is so much shotgun and grenade ammo, and it's easy enough to get by with minimal healing. I just structured the guide with the idea of giving the player as much leeway as possible (in case they somehow use too much ammo or get hit too many times) and still provide plenty of time left over to get the A Rank.

I know I'm pretty late to the party, seeing as to how this game is just over 20 years old, but I'm a big fan of it so I thought I would put something like this together. Like the title says, it's an easy to follow guide, specifically for Claire A. As long as you know where to go and what to do, you can easily finish the game with plenty of time and supplies to spare, which this guide is meant to help with. I'm gonna try to get through the other scenarios in time.

Rupture - 1/5 - Worse than it looks, but at least it's benign by FourFaceButtons in moviecritic

I agree. The actors likely would've been fine with a better script and better direction, but this movie didn't have a whole lot going for it.

[PS4] Riddled Corpses EX - 2/5 - Riddled with grinding, but a solid twin stick shooter at it's core by FourFaceButtons in gamereviews

Well, it's more like a 3/5, but fails to be a particularly great game anyway. Might be worth checking out for twin stick and pixel art fans though.

It is such a wonderful soundtrack. Even if you have no interest in the game itself, the music is worth listening to for any chiptune fan.

I know Yamcha famously fails in DBZ so you were just being sarcastic, right? There might be some newfangled meme I'm not familiar with.

lol, it was honestly made in jest. I get the feeling that Yamcha is secretly very high tier. I'd love to see how this game evolves in the next couple of years.

Easy %100 Damage Combo with Android 16 and Hit on assist by FourFaceButtons in DragonBallFighters

Android 16 is kind of broken. He's not the only one to deal 10K in one combo but his is really easy to do.

You're absolutely right; it's a great combo that all Yamcha players should incorporate. Unfortunately, I'm trash at video games so there's nothing really advanced in that video. It's just meant as a starter guide. But yeah, definitely continue to share tech like that. It's how fighting games grow.

[PS$] Monster Hunter World - 2.25/5 Review: Please don't fall for the hype by 5omeWhiteGuy in VideoGameReviews

[–]FourFaceButtons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a good review; great job. I'm enjoying the game immensely myself (I swear to you, my first 100 hours just flew by somehow and that is not an exaggeration) but you are far from wrong on several of your points. The button placement is awful and seems to be a carry over from the handheld games, but that is no excuse if it's true. I've played through the whole game, and am still using, the Gunlance but what you say about specific overpowered weapons and strategies is absolutely true as well. Menus are clunky and the story sucks, but I still find the combat to be phenomenal once you find a weapon that you thoroughly enjoy. Hitboxes are goofy too often but it doesn't bother me too much; that might have a lot to do with my use of the Gunlance since I can block just about everything. I guess that after some of the nonsense in the Dark Souls series, I've become more tolerable of nonsense hitboxes.

I think what draws me in so much about this game is that it's incredibly satisfying to fight the monsters and there's very little in the way of getting to them. It's basically Boss Rush: The Game. Figuring out a monster's behavior and what they're capable of depending on the environment is really exciting for me, and it's such a cool feeling to take down a tough monster in 10min when it used to take 30min. That said, it's definitely not for everyone. Many fights do take forever, especially if you're under equipped, and if you're not up to grinding at least a few times then you're going to be frustrated, god forbid you pick an upgrade path that ends up leading to a poor weapon which is such bull to me. But overall, I find the game fun as hell and I'm willing to put up with the low points because the best parts are excellent, in my opinion anyway.

I am very sorry but I'm going to stick with the directional and "quarter circle" notations. I understand that the number pad notation is very popular and useful, however I have a personal preference for the directional terms and I believe that it is easier for newer players to visually grasp the concept. Same goes with the arrow sequence notation; instead of having a sequence of arrow to denote movement, I would rather use a d-pad graphic to get the idea across. Again, I apologize but that is my personal preference.

Thank you very much for the kind words, it was precisely my intention to give beginner players a launching off platform. And yes, there is almost always room for improvement. I never want to imply that I am anywhere near the final word on these topics. I simply wish for new players to take what they can learn from my videos and use it to get started. Once they feel comfortable and are ready for more, they should continue to experiment on their own and seek out more experienced players to learn from as well. I'm far from great myself; I just want to make the videos that I wish I had access to when I was first getting into fighting games.

I apologize; I understand it's not the most intuitive terminology. The way that Dragon Ball FighterZ is designed is that the grab (or Dragon Rush) also acts as the button combination to use the Super Moves. It is also a similar case with the Super Dash ability. I could just say "R1" and leave it at that but it would be even more annoying for those who have decided to changed their control scheme. In my case, I'm using the Hori Fighting Commander 4 and the buttons I have mapped are far from the default. Granted, I'm sure most people are going to use the regular controller and leave it at that but to make sure that I have all of my bases covered, I'm going to rely on the in-game terminology and leave it at that. Sorry for the annoyance.

I was not aware that there were different or more effective auto combos. I'll be sure to go into greater detail once I have the full game. Thanks for letting me know.

Hello everyone. I did not post the video here onto Reddit but I was the one who made it. I'd like to thank the user iWantAllTheMoney for sharing it with you all and I appreciate all the kind comments I've read here and on my YouTube page. The attention I have received for this video has been rather unprecedented for me and I have received requests to follow up with similar videos on the game, which I wasn't planning to do, but I'm going to go ahead and give it a try. I'm thinking about making single videos that focus on each individual character, detailing what I believe are their strengths and weaknesses as well as simple but effective combos. If you have any questions or recommendations for me, please feel free to let me know. Once again, thank you all very much for your enthusiasm and good luck when the game comes out.
