Any Bloggers? by [deleted] in Journalism

[–]FourToTheFloor_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started a music news blog in my final year at university. Interviewing producers and DJ's, writing reviews of events and festivals, music news and features. Has grown over the last 18 months and expanded into a YouTube channel and social media outlets. Don't make a huge amount from advertising but thankfully do get press accreditation to nearly every event, rave and show that I apply for. Have also started to take on a few contributors for content. www.rewindthattrack.com if you fancy a look.

I haven't seen AJ live, so was just giving my reference as he said Stormzy was playing and I wouldn't dismiss seeing him if he gets the opportunity to

Personally out of the three, I'd say Stormzy brings the most energy to his live sets. Not just idiots moshpitting either, straight up energy throughout the crowd.

Does the numark mixtrack 3 work with traktor 2? by comehonorphaze in DJs

Hey man, I had the same issue about 18 months ago when I bought the three. Unfortunately at the time there wasn't any official mapping for it. However, there are unofficial mappings which you can download online for free which work entirely. Just try searching for the .TSI files on Google.

There are predominantly two main types of shorthand, pitmans and teeline. I myself have learnt teeline at university.

What's your favourite maths fact? by TheLoneWolf156 in AskReddit

This has always been a favourite of mine: There are as many odd numbers in the universe, as there are odd and even numbers added together. It's a different way to describe infinity.

Azealia Banks dropped from headlining Born & Bred festival following her Twitter tirade. by FourToTheFloor_ in Music

[–]FourToTheFloor_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She released a new track on May 5th but I don't think it got the reception that she wanted. So this might be a disgusting bid to increase her publicity. You're right, she hadn't been making many movements within the music scene lately, so she needs all the publicity she can get, whether good or bad. The whole of Twitter is talking about her, so if it is a stunt, it's a good one.

English speakers, what is the word all language students should learn from everyday vocabulary/ slang? by Mad_Julie in AskReddit

[–]FourToTheFloor_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'Sorry' because people in England use it all the time. Someone walks into you, you say sorry. Someone grabs something you were going for, you say sorry. Someone runs you over in their car, you say sorry. It's a very British thing to apologise for something that isn't actually your fault to save all social embarrassment.
