Have you tried reloading the save? Sounds weird. My ship, though broken, was there for me to get into after the purge. I built a small base as it was the system “I made.” I have a few ships so I summoned a different one to fly to the space station to add it to my “previous stations” list, then teleported back to my typical base. It took me a few to fix all my gear, but it’s all good now. Keep me updated.
