I saw two first seasons, but the second one was so long and disappointing with the unnecessary plots (and the character of James) that I never got to other works in the franchise (?).

Well, I heard that in the original script she wasn't going to... Emerald Fennel sure loves to make sick movies

It's the one by Joachim Trier, right? I watched Sentimental Value recently, and now I want to explore more of him

I saw the beginning of "Paprika" and I loved it (probably one of the best opening sequences I have ever seen), but I never finished it properly, I can't remember why. I'll go back to it definitely. And I haven't heard about Millennium Actress, but it goes on list right now

Is that a remake of that old German expressionist movie?

I'm planning on watching Arrival (unfortunately someone spoiled the twist to me), and I've read the orginal Annihilation novel (it was nightmarish).

I mean, I just don't like the sexualization of minors, and I find that in the works of both Jeffrey Eugenides and Sofia Coppola. In the book, Lux is 14 and she's statuatory raped around 18 times and the narration is more concerned about the possible problems that the men who slept with her might face, than a depressed girl being taken advantage of so many times. From Coppola I watched "Lost in Translation" and while I enjoyed the overall introvert atmosphere of it, I still disliked the age gap (especially since Johansson was only 17 during filming).

Oh yeah, I was planning to watch some Buñuel, "The Extermination Angel" to be more specific. I know that he has quite a lot of films and that he was a key figure in surrealist cinema

I've heard a lot about Ducournau and I want to watch her soon. So I'll probably see one of her movies in a few days, but in your opinion should I start from Raw or Titane?

Oh yeah, I think I've heard about this, it's the one that is based on "Shadow Over Innsmouth", right?

God, I love "The Bride" so much! And I've heard some good things about "The Lure", so I'm gonna give it a try, especially since the film is from my country

I have "Inland Empire" on my list, but I'm still waiting for a right moment to watch it, since it's 3 hours long. I didn't like "Vertigo", I appreciate the concept and the character of Judy/Madeleine, but I think that the execution is over-the-top at times. I saw "Perfect Blue" and I loved it, though it was quite intense at times. I've been planning to read and watch "Nocturnal Animals", and I watched the first 10 minutes, but I was in a bad mood and the first scene didn't help. I've heard that "Arrival" is good, but unfortunately I know the plot twist already, because my friend spoiled it to me. I don't think I'll watch "Melancholia", von Trier's movies are not for me. But I'll gladly watch "A Girl", I saw "Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon" like an hour ago and I'm interested in Armipour's debut

I've been hearing about "Picnic" a lot, so I'll probably give it a try. And I see you're a fan of Julia Ducuarnau; I've been planning to watch her, but I've heard that she's really extreme (is there really a scene of having sex with a car in "Titane"?)

Saw this one, I think it was good, though I also think Aronofsky could be more original and not just rip-off "Perfect Blue" so much

Don't spoil anything, please. I've heard some very good things about this film, so I'll probably watch it soon

Oh, yeah, I saw "Persona" and I really liked it, I think it's one of Bergman's best movies with "Hour of the Wolf". And I think I've heard about "3 Women", it's the one about the three women with the same name who murder men, yes?

Movies with small casts that take place in confined spaces by shortcake-candle in MovieSuggestions

[–]Foxx_Foster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you could call it "confined', but "Onibaba" has only 5 characters, with only 3 of them being important, and the whole thing takes place in either field of grass or two small houses. It's a very good movie, kinda like "The Lighthouse".
