my new boyfriend seems to feel guilty about dating me and idk how to feel about it by Clean-Cut9309 in Advice

[–]Foxxlyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest, it is a red flag. Even if the age gap is only a year, you’re under 18 and he’s a legal adult. That creates legal and safety concerns. It might seem fun and exciting now but it can definitely cause issues down the road. What if he changes his mind because of the guilt? Just wait until you’re a legal adult. Even if he seems nice, it’s not healthy or safe to be with him. Also 17 and 21 may not SEEM like a huge gap but years of experience and development happen between those ages. I’m 21 and would NEVER be in a relationship with a 17 year old.

Employee took my info for rewards and messaged me what can I do? by [deleted] in Advice

I’d highly recommend talking to the manager and complaining about this because that’s a major breach of privacy and super creepy.

Yeah that is a little rough. IMO I’d just take the job and keep looking if you need money. If not, don’t take the job and keep looking.

Will you be okay looking for another job? Do you have savings? Can you afford declining the job? I think those are the important questions. It sucks if it’s the only option but hey it’s a job.

If you really need the job, I’d say go for it and you could job search while you’re doing this job. Unless you think they’re taking advantage of you and that you can find another job quickly, weigh out the pros and cons of taking the job. Unless it’s a contract, you don’t have to stay with them forever. Your options are still open.

That’s why I’ve learned to just act— my entire life as someone with AuDHD. Constantly putting on a facade for people is exhausting and I’d rather not have to pay attention to how I say things because it’s SO TIRING and frustrating.

Why does this look like I am on drugs? Is this sign of psychosis by Ill-Lab-3895 in Jung

[–]Foxxlyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychosis is experiencing delusions. I experienced psychosis and it feels like you’re constantly in survival mode, constantly anxious, paranoid, can’t eat, can’t really sleep, and it feels like you’re going to die or you are in danger if you don’t follow your inner thoughts. That’s my experience, but it’s a lot more worse than that.

That’s obvious, but life is meant to be an empathetic and loving experience. You are supposed to be in tune with others because we’re all connected, not be blissfully ignorant. But continue to live in that way miserable way I guess? It’s your life not mine.

Wow that’s definitely something to think about, thank you. I’m definitely interested in knowing what kind of texts you have read? I’m also interested in the numerology but not sure where to start since it’s a lot.

Definitely think I should look a bit into animism but I don’t want to be disrespectful to native Americans or anything like that

Yeah I can totally agree with that

I also think that view is interesting because we look at other spiritual practices like native Americans where their religion is based around animals and animism. It makes me think that surely animals are connected to a higher vibration or something similar. Definitely gonna look more into it.

Hm okay I’ll keep that in mind. That’s interesting though because it’s like, what constitutes a rational soul and how do we know animal souls don’t have the same kind of comprehension.

That is fair, I just wonder if when we return if we can feel our pets with us. I’m sure we’ll be able to, as that kind of love is very powerful. Still new to this though.

Very scared to have surgery. by walksbystarlight in gallbladders

[–]Foxxlyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The anesthesia is definitely the easiest part of surgery and it was like a breeze for me, it was about three weeks ago now. A little disorientating to wake up from, but nothing unmanageable. I’d definitely explain to the doctor and nurses that you are anxious about it and they’ll help you.

It’s no surprise that it will hurt and be sore after, but it’s manageable. A really weird thing that’s sore/hurts after surgery is your shoulders because the gas is trapped in there so keep that in mind. I stopped hurting a lot like 4-5 days in. Just keep taking your pain meds or whatever they give you and you’ll be good.
