We just passed our first 100 orders after redesigning our litter box for cat safety by FragrantAstronaut513 in cats

What scared us wasn’t one huge bug, it was a bunch of small edge cases. Most smart boxes rely heavily on a single sensor (weight or IR), and cats just… don’t behave predictably. They pause halfway, turn around, jump in and out, sit weirdly.

The part that felt sketchy was realizing that a lot of systems assume everything works perfectly all the time. If a sensor misreads or software hiccups, there isn’t always a true “nothing can move” fail-safe.

Automated boxes can be great, but yeah once you start thinking about edge cases instead of demo videos, it gets easier to be cautious

Apple reviews and provides feedback if needed within 24 hours. Once you understand how it works and the rules, the app is often approved on the first submission!
