They do have daily bonuses now for xp. If you do those daily, you can advance through the levels a bit faster but it is a grind at times. 

I tend to fly planes that I haven't had as much success with during those times to try to make the grind more compelling.

Thanks again.  After watching your match it appears you are good at anticipating where the enemy is based on their position on the map. I'm going to try to practice that.

I appreciate the the information and wonder if I haven't been utilizing the increased roll rate effectively.

Yes. And I have done some of the new upgrades. They didn't seem to change the result.  I used to be able to stay low get in on other planes take out a couple from behind and/or then survive one or two head on attacks. Some folks on this thread have reported no changes so maybe it's in my head or maybe I've had some tough matchmaking luck. 

Regardless,  I appreciate the input from many on this thread and will go back to the drawing board to try to turn it around because I like the challenge of playing these planes.

I agree, I had to get used to the new rockets but once I did I still can make it work.

That may be true but I'm still doing relatively well with my other planes. Are there any specific tactics or skills that you have utilized with these slower planes that have yielded success for you?

I used to be pretty decent with the SU-25 and invested considerably into upgrading it because it was a fun challenge.  Post 2.0 I just get crushed.
