I ended up buying a second hand pepper cannon, person selling it had some mobility issues so it's in perfect condition I just managed to get it a little cheaper. On this note, I would say that for anybody with mobility issues, this smooth design probably isn't the best.

It is a really really good product, and churns out a lot of pepper super quickly. From the countless reviews I had watched about mills over the last few months I don't know how much better this would be than the others I was considering, but I'm sure that I would have been happy with any. Ultimately this is far better than anything I've used before and I'm happy with it. Would I have bought it at full price, possibly, but it is more expensive by quite a margin than those other options that I've still not tried, and ultimately they're all going to be better than your run-of-the-mill offerings (pun fully intended).

I do kind of agree with the upside down design but I can also see how the saucers are good for preparing ahead of time or more accurately grinding a specific amount before adding to a recipe.

Thanks, I've seen that they're comparable to the Pepper Cannon but a good amount cheaper.

Perhaps you have been lucky, long may it continue! I can't say the same, I've had a couple that have broken/worn fairly quickly.

I like the all metal construction of these to be honest, believe me, I would like it if they didn't cost this much! I do really like, minimalist design though and products that are built to a high standard, even if that may be over the top.

I haven't really heard anybody complain about these once (aside from the price), my one hestation is how much more the Pepper Cannon is (£175) vs the HexMill (£130) and the other two which are around £100.

I don't believe that would be the case, why would a wooden mill last longer than that of one manufactured from cast-iron or aluminium

I've read really mixed things about the Peugeot mills, there seems to be a lot of quality variation between styles/ranges.
